I now feel the insatiable need to make a horror machinima in the game when it comes out.

 

... I blame the creepy-pasta thread. You're giving scary ideas to Tiy.

I was thinking more in lines of "spawn extra creep at start of boss, then 3, then 9, then 20..."

 

Or some kind of stalker that follows the player after he killed one boss. That thing follows the player, attacks him after some time (should not be that easy to kill) and if the player manages to kill it THEN IT DROPS NOTHING, it just disappears with a smoke bomb. And that repeats until the player is dead.

 

Having these occur naturally would be way better than fossils (or both - spooky writing above fossils).

 

And then there's me making shlongs appear in front of people's houses.

 

Tiy created starbound. And I have the feeling Tiy will also be the one to obliterate it.
The game isn't even out yet and he has already brought forth the beginning of the end.

 

I hereby vote for adding an axe-wielding torso to the creature generator.

 

Like Weird west mode in falloutNV.. Spook mode. Random creepy stuff that appears for absolutely no reason at all. That or allows "haunted" planets to spawn. Some enemies have a chance to spawn invisible on those worlds. Weird things happen like your torches dying for no reason... creepy writing on the background.

Faint images of Tiy at screen edge looking like hes trying to warn us of.. no skip this last one. Herobrine sucks.

 

And maybe there should be a secret creepy harpsichord music track that only starts playing when you are in creepy area

 

Someone make this a suggestion under game mechanics.

I second this, a whole mode that makes the game super creepy would be fun! Walking in the forest at night with a flashlight, when a shadow appears for less than half a second then disappears, a bit later you will see it at the edge of the screen on top of a cliff, same stuff. When you will decide to go sleep, the moment you enter a bed/tent it will apear and the whole screen will black out with a screech, a few seconds later you wake up, it's morning and everything looks fine. Except that the sun goes black and a strong wind blows you away, again with a screech, another black out, and you finally wake up for real.

I think I just creeped myself out.

 

I can't wait to write I'a Cthulhu fhtagn! on the walls while invisible.
