I just beamed down to an arid planet, and right next to the beam down point I found a Glitch house. Oddly enough, nobody was in it. I knew they couldn't have been killed, since this was my first time beaming down and I literally spawned right next to it. After going through the house, I came upon a barn with a large monster locked inside. When I opened the door, it didn't attack me, which is peculiar since large monsters are, almost without exception, all aggressive. Nothing else of any interest was found. No loot, no secret passages. Any idea what I stumbled across here?
In glitch villages there are similar arrangements, house and baarn next to it including "domesticated" or at least tamed monsters. Never seen it as stand alone house and without an inhabitant tho.
It's worth noting that on the same planet I found one of the large purple cactus plants growing out of the floor of an Avian villager's house as well as a Hylotl merchant somehow neck-deep in the ground. I think it's safe to say that a strange and terrible force is at work on this planet.
Hm, maybe the merchant got punished for some misbehaviour, dug in to the neck to be food for some alien ant-like beings. That purple catus thing.... no clue what strangeness hides behind that...
my Sensei once told me: 'Building an empty house is like trying to build meaning into a life that has none.' Perhaps your buried Hylotl is that poor soul who had nothing- (On a lighter note, I've come across these a couple of times I think they're just randomly generated abandoned homes)
I have encountered these a few times, but I think they are just overly generic random generation, which a little absentness as well.
