Hey guys, just wondering, I was interested in making a "Hack Pack" for me and my mates, so I was wondering if anyone knew how to make a so called "speed hack"? Where I hold down, say my R key, and that enables a quicker movement speed. All I'm interested in is how to make it so it activates my movement speed. Maybe what file to edit, and whether I need to somehow link the files, or just put the variable in again. Or whether I need to make a new file. Any help is appreciated! Thanks, -LIEUTENANT
Tbh atm it might just be easier to take the speed boost stim pack and modify the effect to last for 300000000000000000000 seconds or something. I don't know if the lua allows you to intercept key presses yet.
Didn't think of that, good thinking! Though I might, but I was thinking I would make a sort of publicly ( or almost public ) client hack, which I could have sliders, buttons and modifiable values in a GUI. You know, the general hack client thing. Just something for trollers to play around with. I've had experience with this in Java............OK, I'm blabbering. But thanks! -LIEUTENANT
If you can get into the lua code and figure it out, that should be doable. But I haven't bothered to look at the lua yet because I'm just going to wait for it to be properly supported.
Yeah, currently I'm not serious about it. Just pissing around making ultra-griefer picks and making the tech an easy get away from people. I'm probably gonna add a "Name Protect" feature, cause I hate my friends names. Godoftoast gets annoying after a while. -LIEUTENANT
It'll work as a tech, won't it? Using the "special" key (I forget, is that..F?) instead of R. args.moves gives us SOME input control. Hmmm, you could also toss the runboost status effect on a piece of equipment.
You've got it! Making a press-activated hack, instead of a holdthekeydown hack. And using the tech's keybind. THANK YOU! -LIEUTENANT
