Ooh, this sounds like fun! Unfortunately, I don't play the unstable branch, but on the bright side, that means I'll encounter more awesome updates at once once the stable branch receives it. Thanks, Molly! =D

Hey, @mollygos! Thanks for letting us know you're still among the living. In the meantime, I've got some thoughts bouncing around my head:

So I'm an avid builder, right? All kinds of skyscrapers, dungeons, ships, factories, you name it, etc. etc.
The biggest problem I run into is lack of materials. Now, I have plenty of furniture, thanks to some pixel farming and my handy dandy pixel printer (a stroke of genius by the way, thank you guys soooooo much for that), but I have no way at all to create more materials, especially structure-specific ones like the Bridge block from the pirate ships or the Avian temple blocks. This ends up being a major annoyance, and just to finish a simple building I have to planet hop over and over until I can find more of that material, and then spend half an hour or more mining all of it out of the structure only to place it again.
I would be extremely appreciative of some means of replicating building materials. Either for pixels, or for some other sort of resource.
One idea that repeatedly comes to mind: Dirt, cobblestone, sand, and other "junk" from mining have been the bane of sandbox gamers from Starbound to Minecraft, wasting chest upon chest of useful storage space.
Perhaps Starbound could lead the way in correcting this blatant waste of resources by introducing a way to recycle said junky stuff into pretty pretty blocksss! (pardon my Floran) Any sort of machine, menu, or otherwise could easily correct this problem. Players could even "learn" how to make certain block types by examining a given number of the block before acquiring the recipe.
However it is done, this would further open up another branch of the game to the Builder population, expanding Starbound's already-fantastic creative potential.

Thanks for listening, and for all the wonderful work the Chucklefish team has done to make Starbound an amazing game!

What youve been adding is nice and all but I think starbound would feel a little more complete if you would add more quests. I mean I know its just a beta but right now its do tutorial quests kill penguin UFO then dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, Dig, DIg, DIG, DIG!, DIIIIIIIIIIIIIG!!

Kinda boring. And it takes a while to mine so if you could make mining a bit faster that would be nice.

    Keep up the good work

Looking forwards to the monster and combat updates. The more strategic depth there is to combat, the better.

I definitely agree with Wubbles' basic premise. I often find that I need new rooms before I have the appropriate blocks to build them with, resulting in a sort of patchwork design. I don't, however, want to see a version of the 3D printer for blocks. The printer has always felt like something of a cheat to me, since it largely eliminates the need to search for rare materials. What I'd like to see are crafting recipes for most, if not all, of the "artificial" block designs. After all, where do the builders of the fantastic temples and crystal labs we run across actually get their temple bricks and pressurized steel? These things don't grow on trees!

Well, okay, metal actually does grow on trees on some planets, but you know what I mean.
