A little help with some save files :)

    I tried the game (downloaded it) and really liked it, so I went on steam and purchased it!
    One problem, can I bring the saves from the Downloaded version to the Steam version? I got to the Beta sector in the downloaded one and I don't feel like killing that darn UFO again x) I tried copying the universe folder and player folder, but in no avail.

    The save will likely not work, because of an update and incompatibility of the characters (everyone had this, even people who bought the game immediately)
    more character wipes can and will happen too for as long as the first stage of beta runs, which will be a while, seeing as this early access has only just been released.

    You have no other choice than to start over (and don't be disappointed by a next wipe, because again character wipes can and will happen during the first stage of beta)
