Hello! So from what I can know the worlds are all round and cycle able.. Which makes me think, couldn't you dig a hole all the way to the other side of the planet? And if you did how would the gravity work with that? This was a question, and I don't feel I need to express it anymore than I just did. So... A hole through the world, and how will the gravity work if there's a hole, OR could it split planets?!

No, you can't. It's already been decided. In the center of the planet will be a core that you can't go through.
Even if you did dig a hole strait through to china gravity would keep you in the centre of the earth if you were to jump in since gravity pulls you to the middle of the earth
Not only that... but the pressure would literally crush anything and everything that got relatively close to the center.
Though, being in a world where things that seem completely implausible happen, it's not to say you couldn't make a machine, gadget, or whatnot in order to reach the center of the planet, and then the other side of the world. I have to say that there probably wouldn't be any China on the other side though.
That wasn't... it was a metaphor... No literal china just a slap through the planet to the other side.
I can't think this could be implemented. As everyone else was saying, there has to be said realism into the game. When I'm Gravelordin'
I got that, I'm sorry for confusing you. Speaking whether it's possible or not to do realistically in this game, it would still be difficult to put in.
Well since you can 'walk' around the planets when you would get to middle the engine will probably just go like 'WHAT IS THIS MADNESS' and it would be quite a lot of work to make it like this.
OBJECTION!!!- Actually the momentum you'd gain from falling to center of the planet would launch you to the other side in a continuous motion of going back and forth between the two sides, and say if you were launched out of one side and didn't land back into the hole that motion would stop and not drag you back to the center-so TAKE THAT!!!
Not really, you will start to pick up speed but as you get closer to the center you will just burn up from the heat. but if the earth was hollow you wouldn't have enough speed to get past the strong gravity of the center of the earth. Either way no one is right considering we can't really test this out.
It really depends on what height you jump from from each side of the earth. if you had an even spacing between each side you will end up in the centre because the momentum is being lost to the pull of gravity trying to pull you to the centre of the earth
Because the center of the planet is soooooo safe! Pressure would blow your brains out before you reached the center, anyways.
Because of the Coriolis effect, you would hit the side of the hole you dug and die before you got anywhere near the centre, in real life ofc. But in Starbound terms, it would be cool to be able to dig through the planet. Question? Will the VERY big worlds be much deeper also?
Its confirmed you cant go past the core, so questioning doesnt serve anything unless you plan or know someone that plans or hope someone else reading this plans making a mod.
Not too much really, if you played terraria then you most likely at one point or another used a gravitation potion, right? Well, set a sphere as a center of gravity there then make it invisible and pass through (phantom) so it could emulate you going straight through the planet, the obvious downside would be your inevitable death because of the planet's gravitational pull crushing you to dust. Not too difficult to program if you set the sphere to have a gravity pull, but in fact it'd be too difficult to survive, yes.
