I will be mentioning all sort of things in here so don't hate me. I apologize for if there may be a post with similar suggestions as I have not checked them all. Don't hate me if there's something you dislike or if this has been mentioned elsewhere. - Tree Sapling - A preview icon would be nice instead of pod. (I suggested earlier naming each sapling, but preview icon would be easier), A preview like when we have our clothing and armor previewed. - Planets - What about more difficult planets somewhat beyond lava planet difficulties? - Are you guys planning to incorporate ingame achievements? (not a must but I think it would be something else to do except the fewer quests we have) - Space Travels - What i mean is not planet landing and exploring, but actual Spaceships in space, which would probably interrupt you in mid flight requiring you to exit your ship through a teleport to Intercepted ship (or ship that intercepted you). - Advanced crafting? - Well, this one might need a lot of thinking and creating different things. This game is nice when it comes to items, makes me feel that Item variations are just like in Borderlands 2, but what I have in mind is, have a use for older materials most of us have no need, like copper, iron, sleel, titanium, and even newer materials. Those who obtained latest armors, don't need these no more, what if there was a way? Something of, a crafting table, but you could just jump materials into it, and depending on quantity of every material, it would craft you something of your choice (weapon, chestpiece, pants, headpiece). - Description planet tag (important) - I believe we all need something of a writable tab when we preview a planet. When I say writable I mean some Notepad looking thing so you can add and save the information of a planet you have visited and what you ahve found there, in case you need to go there again so you don't have to look for it elsewhere. "I have found 2 towns on this planet, Avians live here and some medieval folks, must consider eradicating them, conquering the land, and remodeling the town" or "Prison on this planet, must consider saving this for later, adding dungeons and what not". We need something we can write on. maybe even some writable tab as well. - Codex - It gets a little confusing as to when we learn a codex and we don't see what we have learned. Having those little Icons with 3 or 6 or 9 or whatever would be quite nice for us to know what we have and what we haven't read. or what follows what codex book. - Ship - Somewhat I have been suggested Mod for ship remodeling. why not incorporate ingame something alike? instead block by block, square by square and when I say square, I mean small room section from support beam to support beam. Enabling us to choose where to place the rooms. - Magma/poison (not so inportant) - How about enabling us to swim in poison and magma oceans? Making unique biomes on the ocean bottoms and letting us go under. I understand this might not be possible due to how easy the game would become without fearing the magma or poison at all. But instead there could be: - Mobs (not so important) - Gigantic Monsters in the oceans, there are whales on actual earth and sharks, something dangerous in Starbound would be nice for people to fear setting their feet into ocean floors. Mobs with let's say 500k HP and that would deal 1000 dmg and beyond, dropping legendary weapons and requiring more than 1 person to slay it. Standards are up to you to apply. - Death (not so important) - Showing some buttons to a player after he dies and before respawning a player as to where he wants to be respawned, ship or planet. Most of us would eventually land on a planet anyway, and some would need to deposit items or what not. but it is a lot easier without waiting to teleport. I think for super hard-mode planets, your ship gets a device that creates openings in gas giant planets for you to beam down, the biomes are more dangerous and chaotic than other planets. I think they should also ad a submarine tech, which is like the boat tech, but it lets you dive into liquids.
Indeed some submarine would be nice. A Deployable one. or even a liquid-land robot. As for that device. I would have new planets with higher difficulty, that way it would make a little more "sense". As you dive deeper into the space, you are going deeper into the unknown and you never know what is out there. So making it more difficult would be a little bit more, interesting for people who land there going "WOAH!! i'm outta here, coming back when I get better gear" or something. pretty much like fire planet and Ice. you wouldn't go there unless you got better gear of when you were in radiation planets. In a gas planets there's nothing to do, what would you do there? float? unless you need that substance for something it's useless to even land there. But what we need most ius to be able to tag the planets and fix the codex to show either numbers or book icon to whatever the codex entrance belongs to.
