Just a few quick suggestions: I noticed on a few streams that people had a lot of trouble with coal and copper (specifically, copper VS iron). - Make copper have a slightly greenish patch on it. (Copper oxidises and goes green, so this would be a realistic way of improving visual identification) - Make coal significantly more black. (I've noticed in some materials, the colour can 'change' quite substantially. Making coal blacker should make it easier to see and identify) I think those changes should improve visual recognition for everyone (especially people with bad eyesight - I'm looking at you, streamers )
An option to make the movement style through the stairs and stuff like terraria (aka just push down, not down + space) would also not go a miss
I was thinking that too, except terraria you can't crouch. I was thinking maybe space+down, but you can hold one and release/press the other to go down as needed. I noticed it is slightly annoying with how it is now, since if I go to drop through a platform and I am holding down after I still continue to fall through platforms for however long I am holding down(I do not hold space bar along with it after I go through the first platform). That could be a bug though.
With what I said, it would be an option. Obviously if you're on solid ground, you could still crouch, but on platforms or stairs when you crouch it would drop you through. I never use crouch anyway, so the option to change it to terraria style wouldn't affect me and for anyone else that DOES use crouch, they could just turn off that option *shrug*
