A big thank you to the mods of these forums

Not sure if anyone has done this besides the newspaper threads, but thanks a lot to all of the moderators who are running these forums! Countless times you have closed meaningless, derogatory, or flamewar threads, and you guys work hard to maintain the peace with the growing amount of people every day.

The forums workload should decrease when the game comes out so keep up the good work until then.

 

Why would the workload decrease when the games come out? If anything that would bring even more people the forums.

 

I'm actually worried myself the forums will EXPLODE when the game comes out.

My heart goes out to all the mods, never has there been a more thankless job on the internet than being a forum moderator. Hope you guys can keep it together and don't get super stressed out in the coming weeks.

 

They are doing a great job!
But I have to agree, the work-load will probably increase by tenfold lol!

 

Explode as in minecraft forums explode? as in accidently shut down all the servers because too many people explode?

Now that I think about it. But at least there will be less locked threads and more cheerful people!

 

I believe that's what happened to the minecraft forums. And they never quite recovered. Here's hoping we avoid that here.

 

I don't feel there is to much bickering that is hostile on here granted there is some. Some threads truly are meaningless like theories for betas and what not and every time there is a daily update some one has to post about it picking up some trivial thing as if its super significant(which is kind of fun to discuss depending on the thread) but for a internet video game forum its actually quite a peaceful one even when people disagree at least imo. But yeah the mods do fairly good job on here so i agree they deserve a medal or at least a cookie

PS yeah when game comes out i feel the opinions are going to cause more a hub bub then they are now with speculation but oh well

Typically mods are volunteers so I feel bad for all they have to deal with. The mods here do a great job.

I also agree that the forums will get busier when the game is released, because a lot more people will have a lot more questions.

 

mods closed my boob slider thread, i'll always carry a bitter resentment for that...
but i appreciate their hard work and will love every single one of them forever!

 

I'm still wrapping my mind around how many pages will need to be created on my wiki! A page for every item, enemy, NPC ect. Its going to be a massive undertaking!

 

This is probably my favorite thread of the day. We could all use a little more cheer and threads like this that give thanks to people working hard are wonderful. As such here is a dose of cuteness for everyone to enjoy. Especially for the mods who have certainly been kept on their toes today

 

I get the point of the thread, but I just love the irony in it. Irony is a nectar I can't even help avoiding anymore.

As many others have said, the game isn't even really "popular" yet. Just a small dedicated fan base. Just wait. When people come in droves to the splendor which will be Starbound, this thread will probably be a resurrected thread in a few months just for yet another level of irony.
