- Waterfall biome - Vulcan biome (I haven't been in magma planets for months, maybe there is already something like this...) In ocean planets: - Underwater abandoned base - Underwater abandoned city - Fjord biome with steep mountains
Sweet. Since this looks steampunk, make in a randomly generated big like manor building have there be a Novakid mad scientist who made all of it, since, well, Steampunk.
And it will get a little easier to build the steampunk space base I've always wanted to go with the SPAAAACE TRAAAAANE
Oh dear, oh dear. I have so many suggestions I think I'd best classify them by biome. 1.Airless/Moon: -Lunar Base: Just a miniature Erchios. Either abandoned or still functional. -Lunar Landing Site: A lunar module, a random flag, maybe even an astronaut moving around. 2. Jungle: -Overgrown Zigurat/Lost City: Y'know the drill; ancient Mayaincatec-style pyramid, fully overgrown with grass, weeds and maybe even trees on the outside. Inside, there could be traps, treasures, guards protecting them and guys with Fedoras fleeing from a rolling stone trap. -Cannibal Village: Huts decorated with bones and skulls, trapped NPCs in cages, cauldrons, shrunk heads. Florans not necessary, but pretty commonplace still. 3. Vulcanic/Magma -Erupting Volcano: A big burning crater from where lava is constantly spilling around constantly. -Buried City: Think Pompey; a big city fully covered in solidified lava. May or may not contain treasures. 4. Desert/Arid -Wild West Town Y'know the drill; a Big Saloon, a Sheriff, a General Store, an Inn, and mayhaps a nearby Mine or Cattle Ranch. Novakids not necessary, but probably commonplace. 5. Ocean Biome -Tourist Resort/Beach One big, luxurious building, umbrellas, sand castles, NPCs in swinsuits, coconuts; y'know the drill. -Underwater City Just an underwater town, perhaps with a dome or airlock of sorts. Could be abandoned or not. If abandoned, dome should be broken. Hylotls not necessary, but once again, commonplace. -Pirate Shipwreck. Like an Avian Airship, but broken, underwater and filled with skulls, hooks and treasures. And maybe a Captain's Log of how they came to be there. -Underwater Research Facility Thinks Black Mesa, but under the sea. Place could be still functional, with scientists and the like moving around, or abandoned and maybe with signs of struggle and fight along with the logs of what went wrong. 6. Asteroids -Derelict Spaceship Graveyard The biome itself could be made of broken sections of player ships of all races and all levels plastered together into asteroid-sized amalgams, with broken-off pieces floating around and maybe some still-active turrets and defense systems. And maybe, if custom ship parts are added in the future, this could be a great place to find rare pieces. -Derelict Space Station Imagine finding something as cool as THIS in an Asteroid biome; place should be about as big as a Glitch Castle, but with far more underground areas. It would either contain guard robots or a zombiefied crew, as well as a great number of turrets and the like. It'd probably be a great place to find legendary weapons or unusual vehicles (when they get added).
Sweet! All that's missing is a towel wooden holder and we can splash in ^-^ (and a sauna cabin for after )
i like to see shrines about the devs in the game like getting there gear like at the ark outpost under it theres a dev waiting for a quest there but no quest just more about the dev that work on the game and any one els that takes part in makeing this game (SHRINE of mollygos!!! ) would be epic fun and more about you guys putting your heart and soul in to makeing such a good game. Shrines biomes would have fun and cute mobs to kill or tame on with in them the ground around them will have gold blocks/gold trees/GOLDGOLD GOLD EVERY WHERE!!!!
Hello all, been a while since I last posted but I love mini biomes and I would like to suggest a alien bug hive mini biome. You could mine up hive blocks that look really stringy and organic like the walls in the hives of the Xenomorphs. All the "crates" could be cocooned travelers from other races, except Nova Kids and Glitch, they're not so... tasty. The lights could be immobile bugs, something like a Honeypot Ant that hangs from the walls and the ceiling and contains a glowing liquid (could even be the first slowly color changing light sources in the game, or maybe just pulsing) If it's possible, having this biome "overlap" another one would be cool if the host was a USCM base or prison or an overtaken Apex science facility. I don't think it would be necessary to make new enemies for it, heck you could put the old husks of the former bug aliens all over the inside and have a huge, dead queen surrounded by empty eggs that could also act as crates. Sorry for rambling, I just wanted to give one fleshed out idea rather than a list. Also, Pleased Giraffe is almost a new game so awesome I can't stop playing! Cheers guys![DOUBLEPOST=1441850626][/DOUBLEPOST] All the Devs as statues of celestial gods! Greek style, with vines and stuff on them. Statues that give a quest like the Daedric Gods of Elder Scrolls.
Sub biomes : Radioactive -Junkyard sub biomes full with waste & industrial garbage. Sub biomes : Frozen Sub-zero cave, gather extra freeze ice here. You feels cold everytime you enter sub-zero. its also have pure ice(frozed water),Glacier ice(Slow when step) and cyro liquid(give slow debuff, its too cold). Main biomes : Moderate Dusty,Planet full with dust pocket(moderate non-air) Rocky;Less dirt, great source of rare stones. Dungeons : Salvaged space train. Of course,You found novakid in a trains. Villages : Human cargo depot. They starting shipment here, you can go finds lots of sell & outpost block recipe(sell only). Microdungeon : Lunar theme. This one show lunar mine-style microdungeon. Frozen main biome : freezened. Even air become dust, air fragment and cyro air here.
A nuclear power plant or maybe a discarded weapon sub biome where the trees, grass, buildings and monsters are made of old discarded weapons.
I don't really mind the steampunk flavor. I don't mind the concept, either, of having hot springs / geothermal spots. And I love most of the new sub-biomes and changes. But this... I mean, come on! Steam and hot water... on ice? That doesn't make any sense. Hot water and/or steam pipes would melt the ice! They just don't go together like that.
I really love this biome, except for the fact that the ice would melt if there are hot springs nearby. Maybe place this whole mini biome on some kind of permafrost/stony underground, so it looks more plausible?
Always loved Steampunk. I would like a few more gears though. And steamy gear to go with. To Thundercraft: A hotspring isn't big enough to melt all the ice, only what is immediately nearby. Although your right in that the spring shouldn't be springing from an ice glacier ground, but rather dirt and rock with snow all around. As for sub-biomes I would like to see, I'm not sure of all the biomes presently available, but: Giant Crystal Forest -lots and lots of gem/ore/crystals that have developed into giant crystal points, cathedrals, and other mineral crystalline formations protruding from the ground. This contrasted from crystal trees in that they are developed in a more natural manner. Similar Crystal ground (grass) as seen near core. Of course they ought to be mine-able for decoration and the actual ore Giant Geode -Almost the same thing as the Giant Crystal Forest, only a singular geode underground with the crystal points developing from all directions. Mineable and decorative. Salt Flats -A sudden flat expanse of land where nothing grows at all. Galactic Library -More of a structure with a variety of bookcases and decorative flair. Containing lots of books and Codex, maybe a few NPCs. With or without robotic guards. Dense Thicket -Similar to the tiny spiky plant jumps that occasionally spawn, only much larger, and more difficult to jump through- rather painful and dark with thick trees obscuring the light. Spider Nest -Lots of Webs and spiders, thread covered trees and ground that slow movement, generally thick tree cover blocking light. Scrapyard -Lots and lots of corrugated and rusted scrap metal in various twisted formations on rusty scrap metal ground. Some few metal curiosities, and metal wood trees. Void and Twisted Nether Space -Galactic space condensed onto the ground, akin to the pocket dimension portal. Black blocks decorated with stars like the galaxy stretching into it's expanse. Generally flat ground with abomination monsters. Floating Sky Islands -Magic or Twisted Science corrupting gravity to produce many small, and or large floating islands above a deep chasm in the planet, reaching heights into the sky. Perhaps with the ruins of an ancient city or temple that was ripped apart initially from the gravity blast, or fell apart as the gravity drive decayed and the foundations lost support. Japanese Castle -Self-explanatory.
I hope there will be more steampunk. Steam engines and mechanisms, it is very good, and the atmosphere of steampunk. I love Steampunk :^)
