I'm wondering, are there going to be other base NPCs that will have similar unique models too, or it only be this 1 npc per race?
Now that you mentioned it, yes it did bother me that there was no background music at the outpost. Thanks for working on that. I hope it is something more on the upbeat side compared to the rest of the music in game. Don't get me wrong though, I really enjoy every audio track in the game. Awesome stuff.
Uhm. Did anyone google "Nuru" ? ...Actually, never mind. Anyway, while I like the moving sprite, when I see that running sprite, I suddenly think of an escort mission... I hope that hylotl has a nice personality instead of being stereotypical high-and-mighty like usual hylotl manner, or I will leave him to the Florans. Funny thing with avian is that when you say something like that about their thighs, it is hard to figure out if you are complimenting them or you find them delicious.
After seeing that walk cycle I'm suddenly really wanting Tonauac to talk like Foghorn Leghorn. I'm not exactly sure why...
The big guys animation is perfect. The hyotyl running animation feels a little off - as if he skipping and running at the same time.
Just putting it out here, that between "Tonowak", "Tonauac", and "Tonahuac", I'll just call the big guy "Kronk".
Though I think if his name was Colonel Sanders The irony would be perfect. Burn the heathen grounders! Or just Fry them, butter them, and add a touch of bread crumbs and spice. The way Kluex would have wanted the burials done. *In a Southern Kentucky Accent*
Why does everyone wanna eat Toner tack? I mean yeah, he looks tasty and all but I just wanna hug him.
Tonauac is an Aztec name meaning "the one who possesses light". The Avians are based on Aztecs for the most part, so I think that is the spelling that Chucklefish intends. Tonowak is not a known name but is roughly how Tonauac is pronounced, so that is probably where the confusion slipped in.
I would LOVE seeing that avian NPC move like Baymax from Big Hero 6. I think it would fit his personality.
Oddly enough, Kronk is still kinda applicable. If I remember correctly, the peoples depicted in "The Emperor's New Groove" are the Aztecs and Patrick Warburton's character's name is Kronk. Therefore, Kronk is now an Aztec name by way of Disney.
