Since there is no use of the back [climbing] animation yet, a shoryuuken with the spin wouldn't happen. More like "SHINryuuken", performed by Ryu. Actually, what happened with stepladders and climbing altogether? There are sprites for this in the spritesheet, but i never saw them in-game.
It would be cool to see: 1) something that could blast you backwards 2) Jedi like tech abilities 3) grappling hook that drags items or monsters towards you 4) bombs or napalm that you can use while flying 5) nun chucks 6) arm cannons 7) elemental abilities (fireball, lightning, water, ice, etc.) 8) melee monk attacks 9) proximity mines 10) a trail of fire or some harmful element when you use to blink ability 11) elemental or damage type weaknesses against monsters
Swords - Zelda style (or shovel knight) downward thrust attack. Add a bounce component as well? Bows - Backward jump that fires an arrow down at an angle. Spears - Dash blur forward attack. Slow Rifles - Power shot that slides you back with dirt and dust effects as you slide.
WOW! That's really awesome! It would be interesting to see transforming swords, or swords which change their attacks type after right click.
i feel that we are missing some evasion options on the weapons, so maybe a secondary attack that either charge forward then attack, or dash back after attacking.
I'd like something tlike FFXIV's circle of scorn, that is, a jump where you cleave your sword into the ground, and make columns of light burst from the ground around you, dealing aoe damage Of course this'd have to use energy or a cooldown so you couldn't spam it... On a perhaps unrelated note, i've noticed weapons do different damage types on enemies, some blasters give purple, orange, green, blue damage on enemies, even though it doesn't inflict any status on them. Does it means that there'll be enemies that are strong/weak against certain types of damages? if so, it'd be a nice idea to add an item to say, set my common sword on fire, or poison it, or electrify it, or... make it... cold? Also, it'd be nice to see a flak gun like the one on unreal tournament. The one that can fire shrapnel, or a cute, bouncy ball o'death with a smiley face on it.
Ooh! How about a strobe flashlight to disorient enemies? Just applying a confused or blinded status could be fun, and a way to give more life to the regular old flashlights (and the coloured ones too). At the very least it'd be cool if you could manually turn the flashlights on and off, if only to bother your friends (assuming there isn't already a way to do that besides switching between the flashlight and another item).
I'd like to see something like a Halberd, Or a type of weapon you could switch from Slash attacks to stabs, Also a rocket or grenade launcher that splits up (like the throwing bones or splitting rifle rounds) would be really cool.... or a spear with a charge secondary (like a slightly weaker pulse dash)
Does this mean that the umbrella was a weapon with a secondary ability to allow the player to float down to the ground safely? I was hoping that it would be a functioning tool to stop the rain from falling on your head. Not the most useful thing, but if we could obtain a Slime Umbrella by combining an umbrella with slime then we could explore Poisonous Ocean Planets without slowly dying from the acid rain that falls 90% of the time. We have protection from radiation and from poison, but nothing to protect us from acid (or lava).
Not in-use does not mean can't be used. For the animation, you'll just have to call on the climb.1, climb.2, or similar frames for a portion of it.
