This mod sounds awesome! However I have but one question. How does this interact with servers? I haven't modded starbound yet, and I just wanted to make sure I didn't break compatibility with not modded servers, or clients for that matter, if I should ever host.

 

Thanks! I did almost nothing anyway. These radios take the vanilla sounds from Starbound.

Don't worry about it. The mod system in Starbound is quite simple:
- If the server supports any mod you have, you can use it freely (unless it modifies vanilla items, like amplifying the starter sword damage, in that case you can still use it, like some sort of hack...).
- Otherwise you may not access the server until you get rid of those foreign items. In one case that may happen, in another case they will become "Perfectly Generic Item"s and become unusable forever.
- If you are the server and have any mods installed, your friends/invited can download them and use them in your server.

Be very careful with this, your worlds are local, so they will become unaffected, but if you have modded items in your ship (like furniture from other mods), they will disappear when entering another unmodded servers and they may even bug your ship.

Hey guys, I've been working on something new for my other mod, MoarKeyboards and the results are pretty nice, this is a little sneak peek of one of the next planned keyboards. There are 3 more but this is the one that I'm more attached now.

The tune of this boy is A415 (the classical tuning). Should I tune it to A440? (modern tuning).

Have you considered trying to make the boombox a container that can play whatever instruments you put in it?

 

Yes! Tons of times. But frankly even more problems may surge from that. I'll check how easy that may be in a future.

 

this is great and so was archers synthesizers so i looked that up and i found this so i though it would be in here. if it is in here thatd be great! but if it isnt could you make a new optional task to add them? i loved all the synthesizers in it especially the destroyer synthesizer.

 

Archer's Synthesizers? I wasn't the developer of them, I just supported them so they could become boomboxes (you still needed the original mod for it), the original developer hasn't updated his resource yet.
You should contact original developer @Archer I'm willing to lend him a hand if he needs/wants it.

Or you could do it yourself as long as you don't redistribute it (means you keep it for personal use only)
