Since I'm all for the pet stretch goal, I voted Yay on their survey. However, I do think they should do something for their $850,000-ish goal. An in-game video of where the game is so far. The roadmap is nice, but it would be amazing to get a 10-15 minute video showing what is in the game, and what they would like to still see finished before they release a beta. It's not asking for a release date, but it would give us a good idea of where they're at so far.
They already working on a Trailer, that's not a Stretch Goal. Not sure if it will be UP by the time of BETA.. ^^
I also think some commentators such as totalbiscuit will be making footage before the Beta is officially released.
If I recall correctly they will make a trailer soon-ish! And I doubt that they will add another stretch goal, especially after the backslash and the negativity generated by the pet's one.
I don't think that a negative outcome of one stretch goal should be cause for them to not make another. And it doesn't have to be a "stretch goal" per se, I was just trying to think of a point that they would reach anyways to give all of us a preview to sate us (temporarily).
Yeah Tiy said they were hoping to put up another video soonish to show a bit more of what they've been doing, so hopefully we won't have to wait too long. Didn't really say quite what they wanted to show though, whether it just be a short trailer or a more detailed gameplay video. I really just want to see a bit more general gameplay, maybe somewhere near the start of the game showing gathering basic resources and upgrading your ship a bit, and fighting a few low levels enemies and things. Visiting a few planets to show off some biomes and monsters and basic world generation would be great to see too
That's exactly what I'm looking for, the intro of what you'll be doing in-game. I'm glad to hear they're coming out with one soon, I didn't see the post before xD
