Aren't they coming from those giant green buds we can see sometimes in their furniture set? I think it would be the closest thing to pregnancy for Florans.
I wonder if the different races of starbound would have their own abilities in smaller degrees of their armor abilities? Like the humans having a slightly bigger inventory than the others even without the armor.

Maybe it is. Reminds me of the Floran regeneration animation, which then made me think of a Novakid one, where it builds up out of particles, then a flash, and there stands the Novakid in it's birthday suit.
...the game Starbound is still in development and the existing inventory management system is still likely to be improved based upon user feedback. Make suggestions for improvements, instead of griping about which games have better features in your opinion.
I believe they are like a normal plant, Some Florans mention pods and even pod siblings so it sounds like they are grown from some type of seeds that become sort of like how peas grow inside pods.
I always thought they layed "eggs" or "seeds", would be abit more sophisticated than just rubbing behinds and calling it a day. That whole rubbing thing I thought to be a mating ritual. If that is them actually doing that, it honestly would seem too much of a lame joke.
Glad i'm not the only one who thinks that locking items to their respective grid slot was a great idea. Although, I was thinking of having a lock button near the auto sort button that turns your mouse to a lock/unlock clicker. Also i know the devs said that it is still a work in progress, but do you think that there will be more variant algorithms to sort stuff?

We are supremely off topic.. but since this discussion is happening, here is the definitive answer from the artist who (for the most part) created the Florans: Rhopunzel's Floran Reproduction blog post (and this is the sac she mentioned in the blog post) On topic - They are going to have a whole bunch of furniture sets and tenants to show off next week. You can see a lot of them before that if you want though, by watching @Quiqksilver's Nightly roundup videos. The themed sets they haven't shown on the blog yet: Farm (kitchen cabinets galore, stove, etc.) Halloween (Amazing bunk bed that has a monster under it) Hive (Only table made so far) Retro Sci-fi (silver Jetsons looking stuff) Sea (seashells and coral) Steampunk:

Nightly isn't really meant for normal play; it's to test and showcase new features / content. It's buggy and you may need to end up using cheats, but you may well enjoy getting your hands on the new stuff.
I this feature! A nice addition would be the ability to select certain inventory slots and 'lock' them so that they're not affected by auto-sorting. Furthermore, an advanced customisable sorting system where we can select what types of items get prioritised and/or what rows and columns they go in would be awesome.
