I hate the new website main page. I used to check for the news there and now there is this ugly and useless new homepage. Bring me my news back

 

@Nirahiel, is it so much effort to switch your bookmarks from http://playstarbound.com to http://playstarbound.com/blog/ ?

 

Something I wonder, and might have missed from older news: Can we create artificial biome by collecting enough blocks/objects/creatures of a biome together yet? Terraforming, basically. I would love to recreate mini biosphere on a moon or space station.

 

Sorry to be possibly rude, but how are we supposed to experience this? (IN NIGHTLY I MEAN)

The Matter Manipulator/Beamaxe isn't avalible in Nightly, so what is the point of implementing it into Nightly?

 

It is available in nightly. You just need admin commands. (/spawnitem beamaxe) Nightly is very broken and can only be really experienced with admin commands. And this update isn't implemented yet I don't think... I could be wrong though...

 

Pretty sure today is the 10th of April, correct me if I'm wrong. (if you are in a different timezone then me, I am in the UK.)

They must have added it by now, pretty sure they add new functions after 1 day or a few hours have passed as of when the post was made.


And what I mean by not avalible is that you cannot get it without Admin.
for me, idk why, but it's a shame you have to be in admin to get the full experience of the new update.

 

"Full experience" is added feature, not accessibility. Nightly is literally the things devs use to test, it was just added because so many moaned about long updates, and now we have people complaining that they can't use everything "without admin commands". That's what it's for, people. Testing.

Actually, i dont have a bookmark, i usually just Ctrl+T, type "pl", right arrow, enter.

 

Add the blog link as your bookmark and it'll appear before the main page when you type "pl".

 

Nope, the main page still appears first, but at least i can "pl", down, enter, still takes more times as i'm used to "right enter" instead, but i should get used to it.

 

The new website made me think I had missed the 1.0 announcement!

Also, as noted previously, loading the website with https breaks it. The images and style sheets are loaded over http, and both Firefox and Chrome will refuse to load http stylesheets on an https website.

 

Why would the page open as https? I tried both Chrome and Firefox, both throw me to http:// by default.

 

Pretty sure I am the only person.

I sometimes wish that tone would somehow be added to text. I didn't mean to be rude. I'm pretty sure I've read at least 2 more people complaining about not having full access to everything in the nightly without having to "cheat", or use admin commands.
Beamaxe is in the nightly. You can add it with /aicommand giveBeamaxe

Been on and off with Starbound as time allows it.

But NOW, I'm checking the site DAILY. Now and then twice a day.

Bought the game for all my friends who obtained the game in more *nefarious* ways as well..

 

Will there be a cross buy or maybe even a discount for the xbox one version for early adopters of the pc version?

Also, will the gas planets be used for something with the next update?

Anyways, looking forward to the final build. Took a long time, but the game has turned out to be a real gem
