How about if you don't take off your armor before going to bed you aren't as well rested as you would have been(negative status effect for a few minutes?).
personally i'd prefer a nice little animation showing your character taking off his armor, placing it on a mannequin or somethin! great idea btw and thanks for asking us what we would like more!
Maybe it could be Manual. If you get into bed comfy clothes, you get a well rested bonus whereas in armor, you receive a very slight debuff.
as somebody said before, I like the idea of having a coat hanger or something attached to beds. that way, you can set the pajamas you want to wear to sleep on the rack, and when you go to sleep, you switch out the pajamas for your armors.
yo. they asked for an opinion. we're giving ours, and throwing out extra suggestions. don't get all butt hurt about little bits and bobbles. we're not demanding.
Wow this looks awesome! Keep up the great work! Also I think there could be an option to sleep either way. Or maybe even sleep in pajamas?
I would love it to be an option (check button or something) or even have a 2nd cosmetics clothe set, that you can swap to whenever, and swaps in when in bed. (Or Pajamas (as another cosmetic option))
I would want players stripped of Thier armor during sleep. I wouldn't want to sleep with a 100 pound suit of armor on!
I was thinking why not allow both options. If you sleep geared up you sleep above the covers but if you sleep naked your under the covers
Scale armor is typically mounted to another material like leather, with linen underneath to prevent chafing. Even leather hauberks were worn over a linen shirt, same with brigandine, and hardened leather plate had a linen layer under it. The most uncomfortable armor I've known of (and had the opportunity to wear) is plain coat of mail. All the weight is on your shoulders when you stand up, and it's awful if you have breasts. I don't think it would be nearly as bad while lying down. My preference is actually that there be a furniture item that allows you to change your vanity items without returning to the ship, like a dresser, chest of drawers, or a folding screen (Link). You could place it next to the bed, and change into pajamas before sleeping. Additionally, it could be used for any number of other situations where you want to change your appearance without having to return to the ship. Plus, it makes sense that you actually have to manually change into your nightwear-- people would be outraged if your character automatically changed into a swimsuit any time their character went under water. Imagine the glitches involved when you fill your bedchamber with water while still in bed!
Put them in their PJs. Let them also choose which pajamas they have in customization. One option could be your birthday suit.
Why not just have more bonuses when you strip then get in bed opposed to if you slept in armor all night? Just another thing to add, Such as like moving a little faster or better because you got a good night sleep or you aren't aching or something?
Yeah, hey. It's an insignificant tidbit in the game. How about we start complaining that swimming in a full suit of armor breaks immersion? How about we tear apart everything in this game until there's not one immersion-breaking feature left? God forbid that a science fiction game has anything horribly unrealistic in it.
It will make more sense, if player can choose to wear armor or not while he is in bed. So I like the armed sleep idea. Cause if you want to sleep stripped, then you may take off your clothes manually.
It's awesome that you've made beds and sleeping work, good job devs ! Also the idea of ship expansion is really nice although we will need some special blocks for that. Keep up the good work !
