Must be pretty easy to sit on a high horse while you've got that power and probably more information than the rest of us, huh? I mean god forbid people who have invested money into this product which we've been waiting far longer than ever anticipated for feel entitled to information right? God forbid people like me who paid 45 dollars, and god forbid the people who paid over 2 thousand dollars wanting information beyond little teases. We're definitely in the wrong.
Thanks for the update, as always. But... I find the end of the animation (when he stop to be a ball) pretty... quick... passing from ball to normal.
You chose your job You work 24/7 Muahahahahahahahahahah seriously if you did not want to moderate that you offered?
Yeah...now we need the Samus Powerarmor with all the other Gadgets and Weapons and i'd be in heaven *haha*
Agreed. But given the limited number of animation frames available (without requiring additional ones being made which would be a bit of a nightmare) I don't think we'll see an in-between animation from crouch to ball. What I would recommend would be a particle effect or other special effect appearing during the transformation (both crouch to ball and back again) that obscures the actual blunt transition to and from the ball form. I also agree the ball form should appear different based on which species tech it is a product of. And the ball coloration needs to match those of the armor/character becoming it. I also suspect that ball mode will allow passage through smaller gaps then normal.
It's nice to have a throwback to Metroid, but what use will it be? In a sandbox game like this, there's no need to be able to fit in small spaces. I agree about weekly updates, there really isn't any need for an update every day.
But what if they go in a randomely generated metroidvania direction as well? How awesome would that be?!
Imagine the only way to access your base is through a small hole you can't squeeze through as a normal person. Keeps pesky monsters from getting in. I'd use an image from Pulp Fiction to be a proper response to that post, but it might not be tasteful. ;P
Simply voicing my opinion. I moderate the forums, but I'm not privy to any of the inner workings of the development of the game, nor do I have access to any information others on the forum couldn't get as well. I've pre-ordered the game as well, with my own money and I'm not being paid by Chucklefish.
