I've never found myself seriously considering the possibility of keeping a poop as a pet. Awesome update though. I see the lateness of it as an indication of work getting done, so nothing to worry about .
Well this is a really controversial nugget to drop on the fans. I mean, you're straining to get the beta out, right? You guys have been holding it in for so long. I was under the impression you were working really hard. Hope the beta doesn't turn out to be a dud. After all, you've promised to deliver such a nice package. Although, I'd sure hate for it to come out early. I hope that these don't get poopular online. I'm not sure I'd be able to peek my head out of my lan games. And if I did, I'd have to block myself in on planets I'm familiar with, like Uranus. The theme of the game is really more in line with mobs like snakes and slugs and klingons. I mean... you find loads of futuristic ships like submarines, and weapons like gas bombs. Waste of a mob. Number two update is great, though. Double jump is awesome, and should have a positive impact on the game. If you get stuck in a lake, you could plop yourself out. And if you're being attacked from the air, you can wipe out the competition, even with melee weapons. Or if you needed to get past some tall logs. Oh, yeah... will the beta be on steam? I hope my post isn't dripping with sarcasm.
You're right. I was completely wrong. Robots and alien cats are so utterly outside of the sci-fi genre, just as much as a blushing shit with no apparent reason for sentience or appropriate emotion as a mob, and you clearly have a much deeper understanding of theming than I ever could. Not to mention how much I brought up those two as example of reasonable mobs, and the extent to which I clearly do not also think those are pretty ridiculous.
Looking forward to seeing more unique monsters aside from the Po (who is adorable by the way), because as neat and infinitely diverse as the procedurally generated monsters are, having a good amount of "static" monsters like the Penguins and the Po are just as important to have in a huge game like Starbound. Question about the double jump: Will it be something you get from Tech or is it an ability that you get from a particular racial armor? Either way works for me, I like being able to double jump in games. More maneuverability in games like this is never a bad thing after all!
Uh.. Cute or not I'm shooting them all. That's just disgusting lol. If it comes to lining my sewers with defence drones SO BE IT. Also, I hope the double jump is a tech or an upgrade we can get that gives a decent scientific reason as how we are able to jump again in air... Or maybe I'm taking it too seriously...
Wtf is this shi... Kidding. That is indeed the cutest poop I've ever seen. Can't wait until I have to deal with crap like this on a daily basis. You guys are doing great!
Speaking of unique NPCs, I'm hoping there will be lesser races with minds that you can either find hostile, friendly, their planet is unstable and you have to help stabalize, destroy the planet because of its bad rep. Etc. I really hate it when games' races only consist of the playable ones because it doesnt make running into them very special.
Wow, if they add poop monsters in sewers, then that'll raise the bar for randomness in a game, plus now I won't be able to predict what they'll add next. They've just gone all out
I am the great mighty poo? Anyone? Anyone...? No...? Okay..... On another note: POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP
A poo monster, or monsters, boy do I really want to know what civilization went down the tubes to evolve or is it de-evolve into poo? Its really sad to see an entire civilization get flushed so early, ok I'll stop now...really. (I dare anyone to grab the cookie between the poo's!)
