Mod this out, mod that out, mod the other thing out... You guys must go through a lot of white out whenever you read a book. This character dies? Fuck that. This character... moves to.. Belize. Much better. I now enjoy this author's creative work more after having altered it to fit my desires.
sewer dungeons would be awesome. maybe there can be water physics puzzles that unlock treasure rooms and when you beat the dungeon boss and get the treasure, water starts to flood the place and you have to escape quickly
That is very, very different from modding out an inconsequential sentient shit and replacing it with something else. Its more like reading a book, and changing the name of one of the monsters from Gremlin to Goblin. Modding is a beautiful thing, we can make the game the way we want it. Why is that a problem?
That wonderful poo made the wait perfectly acceptable! I will not revel in killing such beauty. But I will. Edit: Also, lil' dudes like this one should be able to multiply to a certain amount while you have it as your pet! Just imagine 7 lil' poos hoppin' and a-boppin' merrily behind you! Weeeee!
I'm not saying it's a problem. I'm saying I think it's pointless and silly. And no, it really isn't different. At all. But, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying "don't do that, uuuugh"- I'm just saying "you're silly for doing that, uuuugh".
Well, if the most controversial thing about a game is whether fans approve a monster designed to look like a piece of sh** or not than they're obviously doing something right.
I think the devs did this on purpose because they KNOW that we (the community) will talk about everything to death... I can see it now... Dev1: *reading the forums* "wow these people will argue about anything" Dev2: "Yeah you're right, I wonder how far they will go..." Dev1: *posts poop monster* And here we are, well played Devs, well played...
Its completely different, the only way that analogy could apply is if we were to completely replace every monster and quest in the entire game. Which isn't what we're suggesting at all, we're changing ONE creature that we think is just ridiculous without altering any of the story. My analogy fits better, we're taking a monster out of a story book and replacing it with another monster, leaving the entire storybook intact regardless. The amount of significance you are tying to the Po is ridiculous.
Doesn't matter. Still cute. Also, I'm not a big fan of poo monsters, but if I had to pick one poo monster for Starbound, I'd pick that one. Also, not sure how mods will work, but there should be the option to add graphical mods for yourself (like turning spiders and poo monsters to bears) without everyone else having to install it for multiplayer, as long as it doesn't change any of the underlying gameplay mechanics.
