Lord Hatty I think it's perfectly fine to rant about your hate about these little shit monsters, but why? If you know that you can easily mod it out or find a way to why try to completely get rid of it from the entire game in the first place? Some people might want to see a little shit running around in sewers, but the creators worked very hard to make this monster. coding is as hard as animation almost, an just making the background for an animation can take days! If I were you i would just shut the fuck up about this and walk away, mod them out of the game and avoid even more hate. I don't really wanna call this hate, it's an opinion, i respect your opinion and i see that there are more than one of you who want this removed. So please if you are going to rant on more things it's best to just shut up and remove it if you don't like it. Really i think they're doing a great job on the game and there are some people who don't like things that are added in this game and i respect their opinion, but please if you don't like something it's most likely not going to be removed by the developers. They put very hard work into this game and are speeding ahead to a very soon beta release. Point ended ( <--- a potato incase you got hungry from reading...)

 

I'm on the opposite side of this argument, my friend But it's alright, honest mistake. I like the poop monster, I think it's quite cute.

That was what i had in mind too. Just implementing a double jump skill for every race out there from the beginning just sounds kinda unrealistic. I mean why should it be possible to just jump in the middle of the air for a second time how you see fit whenever you want without using any equipment for it. Just thinking. I believe that they will find a solution which everyone can enjoy. Fan communication has been stunning so far. Never seen developers being so close to their fanbase like this. Love all you guys.

 

It is my sincere wish that the devs never ever read these, the official, forums.

You're entirely missing my point. My complaint is that any developer time is being spent on this. Whether or not other other team members are working on other things is irrelevant.
And let's drop the sarcasm, it weakens your argument and comes off as extremely immature. (Although given the apparent target age group, that makes sense.)

I have so much respect for the people at chucklefish. I would never allow this much insight to the public of anything I was creating. I mean seriously, could you imagine just having posted some extremely minor detail to a HUGE project that you had put years of your life into, thinking that this little thing was just a cute aside that people might chuckle at, and then suddenly the forum explodes with: THIS GAME IS AWFUL BECAUSE I'M TOO MATURE FOR POOP MONSTERS. Put aside the fact that anyone who says that they are "too mature" for something is generally a teenager. By the time you are actually a mature adult, you no longer have insecurities about whether things are "mature" or not. Especially once you have kids of your own, as you tend to spend most of your time watching children cartoons.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure the first time something like this happened I would just shut down the forums and give no updates until the game released. Sure it would be bad PR, but I'd probably rather people like that not play my game anyways.

This is why I would never make software for the public; the public is terrible.
