Like What if You had a crafting table.... But it did a little better than what you do by hand.... However... What if we could.... Add tools, like a hammer, a saw, a screw driver, etc......that we either buy, find or craft (at a small penalty early on) to it.... That unlocks more crafting options or increases the number of items you can craft per recipe.....depending on the quality of the tools, the type of tools, and the quality of the crafting station.. The crafting station itself..can be expanded in size, the bigger the crafting table, the bigger the craftable objects (utility items and weapons to full blown furniture etc)... The material the crafting station is made of (wood < iron < tungsten < etc ) and the type of upgrades to it ( like adding a battery allows the use of power tools which allows for more advanced or complicated techniques of crafting ) can allow for heavier or technological crafting like robots or something. Too much? (Oh and side note, possibly make it so finding old blueprints of items you can already make either increases the number of items you can craft, reduces the number of required ingredients, or give a new varient of the item to craft, like a sandstone couch or sandstone end table, or a sandstone lamp)
Wishful. I hope it allows users to create building blueprints allowing easy copy paste style for OCD/lazy players and/or perfect base/building and/or apartments!
Love the new crafting tables, but why would you need a crafting table for farming if you can only craft watering cans with them, unless thats also the place you craft garden decor with, or even bio engineer crops?!!! Frackin universe style....or maybe starbound style, either way will this also be the farming table's function? And can I also get to bioengineer plants? And also what's with the arrow on the tomatoes? Its really bugging me. sorry guys my brain just started working recently so know I realise that the farming table might also serve as a Wildlife farming needs like bows and spears, its weird that I hadn't realise that sooner.
Now I have to figure out how to fit all of those on my ship. Gee thanks. Question: are there different levels of crafting tables? Having wooden cooking tables on a high tech ship seems...jarring. Anyway, since someone already linked a vid above: This update is:
Are you adding more requirements from one tier to the next? I found that in Pleased Giraffe, it was very fast moving from tier to tier, on the matter of an hour or so to craft every piece of armor. Would be good if there was a bit more time, allow us to spend a little more time on each planet we land on for a while.
My thoughts exactly. I think the main problem with progression at the moment is that you can essentially get all of the items needed to advance to the next tier from one decent digging session. There should be some buffers in place to slow down progression without making it feel like a grind.
oh man, so many opportunities..............my thoughts are cranking out stuff like a machine like....i'm seeing the blueprint table, and i'm thinking of, what that table was made to examine some of the materials you found out in the wild, and its to discover new craftables from it. figured it make more sense then the player just knowing EXACTLY what to do with the items they pick up (I found sand...........I can make a bed, a table, a door, and couple chairs out of this.......)
Seriously though, is there any word on if other one handed weapons will get finishers like boxing gloves? Or just a reform on the whole one handed weapon thing?
What like a double bladed downward smash or give the player passive buffs like increased speed or junp height?
I found the Underground Parallaxes to be very, very lively; Would you mind making the waterfall one animated? (I don't want to live on a cave where no time is present). Oh also, a new suggestion (am I getting annoying? If I am, please, do say so.): Music-related furniture, racial and non-racial, and a tenant which could spawn an instrument on a -very- small chance; Mostly useful for existing though [DOUBLEPOST=1449523839][/DOUBLEPOST] By that I meant Terraria-like teleporters; You would have a central teleporter (linked to the ship) and then you would be able to make a hub to teleport someplaces else; it would look really beautiful; That's an interesting idea you had, By The Way.[DOUBLEPOST=1449524120][/DOUBLEPOST]Triple post: Sorry about that; I'd also like to have additional kinds of Capture Pods (as I once accidentally posted on the Terraria forums :s). Maybe one for fish, another one for birds/flying "undescribable horrors" and another for critters? I'll make yet another post (Thanks for auto-merging them ): An example for the teleporter thing would be a set of parkour maps; Having "Parkour A Level 1" all the way to "Parkour D level 10" would not be convenient, making linkable teleporters really useful. You could set up a "Parkour" teleporter and save 40 spaces, therefore not cluttering your list.
The table with the blueprints, "Inventor's Table", is where you'll make new Crafting Tables. https://twitter.com/Tiyuri/status/672724598568431617 Which is nice. That's something you'd WANT split out into its own dedicated table, really.
That's pretty neat, actually. I'm ready for this to hurry up on the nightly so I can see how it's done, already.
How come you now get hurt when you touch the hit-box of enemies, one thing that i loved about starbound is that the enemies had to perform their own attacks like you but why was it a a good idea to change that? I do love every single other thing added though, this game gets better and better and the creators are so dedicated and the community gets better and better This game has so may amazing things about it and I can't describe how much i love this game, there will be a never ending quest system and i can't wait for that
Well, I don't know, maybe like a a double slash or something with more range than a typical 1 handed move.
yea, though we'd need to take into account duel-wielded 1-hand guns too, i'm not too sure what they can do in conjunction with each other....besides shoot
