3d printer

how does it work in this game, i tried to scan a copper pickaxe and nothing happened-- it didn't get destroyed or remembered by the printer... not sure how to use it or why you would use it...

 

i've tried probably 30-40 different items, nothing scans in, even when those items show a cost for doing so.

 

You can only scan props picked up from villages/dungeons. Anything else like tools cannot be scanned. After you scan stuff you need to pay pixels to print the item.

 

Wheat seeds can be scanned.

 

I was able to scan in some random items I found. They were colored flasks and some random other items. I'm guessing because you can already craft tools you can't scan them in. Maybe it's only uncraftable stuff?

 

Seeds and furniture only, from what i've seen so far at least.

From what I've found (and been told), you can only scan things with a Pixel value. Anything with a pixel value of 0 doesn't work.
