3D printer icon poll on Tiy's twitter

i like three , its more 3Dr then the other two.

 

1st one is cool imo. Simple and efficient.
I also like the third one, but less than the first. I don't like the second one, not having the lines is just not my thing.

 

I like the first one, myself. It's simple. The other two show a shape which is considered "impossible" which might be a little too vague to really represent 3D printing. The first looks like an icon you'd see in a game, really, and not just a weird shape.

 

I like the second one.

 

Actually, watching at the last two icons I will never think of an "impossible" shapes.
If you know what I mean.

 

Maybe that's the point? Since 3d objects would look impossible to beings living in a 2d world...

yes, the overthinking is intentional

 

I don't mind they all look good

 

I, for one, think Tiy should spend another week or so thinking up alternate designs because -
well I don't know why

 

I'm with the 2nd one too, it looks cleaner without the black borders.

 

in the screenshots for the gui for the 3d printer in the top left coner you see the middle symble....thus its the middle one

 

I wanted to vote for first one, but I guess I'll jump into the "second!" bandwagon.

 

3DPrinter? What is this?

 

It's a device that, ingame, will allow you to scan futniture and other placeable objects, and then, using SUPERSCIENCE™ and ingame currency replicate them to ininity!

 

Kinda curious as to what would be an easily recognizable symbol for a 3d printer to you.

 

I like the penrose triangle logo because it is impossible to physically create, so they wouldn't even be able to 3D print it.

The problem with the second icon is without the outlines I can't make out what shape it's supposed to be, it looks like a normal triangle. 1 or 3 should be the icon, don't like 2.
