3D printer icon poll on Tiy's twitter

Is that man being turned into a carrying case?

 

...I may sound stupid for asking this, but what exactly does the ''3d printer'' do?
What's the difference between the ''3d printer'' and the ''pixel printer'' Are they just the crafting systems? I'm confused.

 

Middle one. I like triangles. The first one reminds me of Lego's and the third one looks just weird.

After looking I realized the second was a penrose without borders. Possibly a combination of #2 and #3? Maybe lighter borders? Dunno.

 

The 3d printer is the pixel printer. Pixels are going to be the "fuel" that runs the 3d printer. The idea is that 3d printing is so universal in the future that everyone uses the pixel as a standard for money because it can make anything and is useful to everyone.

As far as I know the crafting and 3d printing are seperated somewhat (could be wrong on this, but I think they have separate interface) because you can reverse engineer anything at the 3d printer but you lose that object, also you can create anything for pixels and not just it's crafting materials like you would in crafting.

 

Why bother making the thread if it doesn't have a poll..?
If the title says poll, it obviously should mean there is a poll... Sadly, this "poll" thread is lacking an actual poll.
Just makes it 1000% easier to see what people think.

Either 2 or 3. Not too big a fan of 3's prevalent black lines however. So, made a few alternate versions myself:

2nd one might work best for me outta the two here.

 

Note that there are no icons representing weapons or armor on the printer's category tabs. You'll still need to properly craft gear.

 

I agree. 3rd, definitely, anyone saying the border on the 3rd one doesn't look right isn't looking at the icon right or something? It's suppose to look 3 dimensional, and that's exactly what the 3D printer does!

 

the last two seems like the karma icon in GW2 so nah new ones plz

 

It's weird how a lot of people don't realize the second and third one are both 3D, it's just a border difference. A border that really makes it kind of... I dunno, chunky?

The first one is the best. The other two are neat, but make me think of the letter A, not a 3D printer.

 

I like the first one myself. Building blocks and all that. I can see where he was going with the triangle though.

 

I like the second one. The third one is ok, but the outline seems to be too dark.
