Closed 3D Printer does not scan all items

I tried to scan an oil lantern (75 pixels) but when I click the SCAN button, nothing happens, and I tried with other things too, and got the same results.

 

Have you tried scanning your ship doors? It worked for me, but several other pieces of furniture didn't. Also be aware that the item is destroyed and it costs 2000 pixels to print another ship door.
The 3D printer never could scan anything, but I think this unstable version reduced the list of printable objects considerably. Whether that's intentional or not only the developers can say.

 

I find myself unable to scan NPC spawners, despite displaying a pixel cost in the GUI. And I'm not talking about the ones crafted at the Employer's Station, I mean ones like Doctor Spawner and Stim Spawner which, presently, can only be looted.

 

Some items are able to be scanned, but not able to be printed. This results in losing the item, losing pixels, and it not showing up in the list of unlocked items. Certain objects have been like this for a very long time.

 

Not all items in the game are scannable, this is intentional the last time I checked. Are you able to scan any items at all?
