Closed 3D printer can‘t print Spawner

I got one Chef Spawner from a box.
And I used 3D printer to scan it . It just disappear and nothing add to the 3D printer list or anywhere.
Is that cant be scanned or ?

 

same here! so frustrated..
if it cant print one it shouldnt be able to scan it!

 

I found a "Tool Spawner" and was super excited! Put it in my 3D scanner for later when I set up a base. Come back later, it's not there T_T. I don't even know what the tool vendor sold.

 

I found that some of them just unlock recipes in various places, otherwise some things just vanish (or im not high enough tier yet) I hope that they make it so eventually you can "print" any item, because eventually you run out of planets and just have pixels left

 

Bah, came online to post this exact thing. Tool Spawner was the one I ended up wasting. Glad I used the search function. I'm guessing its a bug, though whether or not its intended to be scanned and thereby reproduced is unknown to me. It could just be that spawners are on the list of 3D printable items when they shouldn't be. We'll see.

 

Same thing happen with me. I was bummed afterwards. Hopefully they can fix this.

 

also don't scan the biome specific chests, some chests cant be made
