30 hours of gameplay in - not a single Tech found yet...

Title says it all pretty much. I've played for nearly 30 hours and have explored quite a few planets pretty extensively, and I haven't come across any Tech at all. What gives? Does anyone have any tips of good places to find tech? This is getting ridiculous.

 

20 hours in i have 5, they drop from high-tech chests in random dungeons and buildings etc.

I'd just go to low threat planets and just run all the way around the surface to find buildings etc where they cold be.

 

Thanks man, good suggestion! Yeah, I've yet to see any high-tech chests (and I've seen pictures of them from the devs) - so I guess I'll just keep looking. Any good dungeons that seem to have them? I haven't found any Glitch castles or sewers yet..

 

I have just about 24 hours in, here's where I found my 3:

Randomly underground. I know that's a lame answer, but I only have mine from sheer dumb luck. Usually I'll be derping around in the underground areas of a planet, digging through a wall in a completely random direction, and all of a sudden there will be a tech chest. Though I can tell you that I have a friend who got one from a tech chest at the end of an Apex obstacle dungeon.

 

Got all mine in lab type dungeons and buildings. Some had guards, some had just traps and some were just an empty building with a chest.

 

I found many of my techs in lab dungeons. The ones with tesla coils spread everywhere.

 

5 minutes in I found 2. Be sure to shine your flashlight in water, that is where I found my 2. Reminded me of water chests in Terraria...

 

Thanks so far, everyone. I still haven't had any luck with finding any tech at all, even with the new character I made recently. Oh well. Maybe post-wipe I'll have better luck. :/
