As for specifics, introduce expansion missions. More than merely creating a colony, you should be able to decimate threatening outposts from same or neighboring system and get a reward. Example, Avians don't like the Apex compound in a neighboring planet. Getting rid of the compound gives you a reward and improves the Avian outpost. Floran splinter faction; more than just the adventurer him/herself, there ought to be a larger ecosystem. They desire technology and blasting (advanced form of stabbing). Space port gets visitors: random ships could be docking in the spaceport. They will eventually leave, however. You have the option of being a mercenary in a run they make. These could be large ships, you'd get special parts or help with your own space ship improvements. Aside from pixels, of course. Edit: Introduce a stealth mission; you need proper garbs and perhaps a device to infiltrate, special units would notice the bluff near - make the area dense so it causes panic, heh... Make guns blazin' possible but very hard. We like freedom.
i think the hylotl and nova kids need some more love since they dont have any villages ,dungeons or micro dungeons
Hylotl might take a backseat as of this moment, as Tiyuri told me that they won't be in the surface. They have to fix their underwater structure implementation for it.
Perhaps add some missions whose outcomes depend on how much lore your character knows. You could end up going down a different path if you could for example, convince an avian not to jump off of a tower through your knowledge of their species' history. Maybe they would join you afterwards and become a crew member. If you can't help them out, then perhaps a concerned avian sees you trying to help and tries to recruit you to their cause (insert next step in mission here). The current missions aren't that complex, but some where your choices make some small impact would be fun.
yeah and bout fixing missions i have some ideas how to improve Dreadwing mission: Penguin scientist asks player to go to some asteroid, because beacon placed here seems to be stopped working. Player entering maintenance base under the beacon and finds that mini-fusion reactor stopped working and need to reboot but unable due to lack of plutonium rods. Player going to deeper underground to reach the storage room. Passing the door survey (some doors blocked due to working on emergency power supply), After player find rods and rebooted the fusion reactor, beacon must be activated from outside. Player goes outside and activates the beacon. After few seconds Dreadwing appears and tries to kill the player. After player beats the UFO, it dropping the wreckage parts but don't explode. Instead it teleports somewhere. Shockhopper mission: Player teleports to the testing site to help Scientist penguin to test his Shockhopper mech, but suddenly Dreadwing comes with his penguin army. Dreadwing's almost destroyed battle UFO crashes upon test lab causing the entrance to be blocked by fallen rock. Scientist penguin recommends to player go trough lab underground. Lab underground is actually a challenge room built for testing jump and other movement techs. Passing the obstacles player get attacked by penguin soldiers. In the end of the underground player finds the second entrance to test lab, but notices that Shockhopper controlled by Dreadwing and the Scientist penguin is bounded. Dreadwing tries to kill the player. thanks for your attention
It could be really awesome to have a Novakid mission with a wild west style duel, with a countdown to draw and all that xD
Spice up some of the mission perils if you can, spikes aren't the only thing you can use. For the eventual mission changes, will our existing characters not be able to play them, or will the quests just be available? Also, are missions going to be enough room for lore? Is there a chance we will see cutscenes or more conversations?
I'd kinda like a mission which takes place on a Massive space ship, like a return of Dreadwing, but he brought all his penguin pirate buddies and a mahoosive Pirate spaceship...And it'd also be awesome if we could get NPCs from Quests to move into our settlements (Nuru for example) and later on take them out as companions and stuff...
Well, I think that a fight on an airship would be pretty damn awesome! With a moving background and maybe some moving platforms(other ships) dropping enemies. Would make quite an adventure.
Well i doubt it will ever be but what the hell. Stories that could be inspired by book stories some of you read. Remember Outer limits ? Every part was unique story. There was always a some twist and something to learn. But it was not much for kids. I guess they would not like philosophical tone or them. Damn i feel old now...
What really needs to be done is the implementation of new bosses. I do not get why they removed bosses like the Bone Dragon.
Missions... hmm.. Human: something related to tentacles.. like a smaller place also plagued by tentacles that could have clues / info on what the tentacles are and where they came from... or how to fight them.. Avian: recovery of artifacts and / or books (lore or just quest itens) from an abandoned temple or tomb (or both).. could reward with more lore about the avian (and Kluex and the Stargazers).. maybe giving to an avian (or all) blueprints to avian tech (furniture).. Maybe a mine and processing area of the avian red crystals.. raided by bandits or other menace... could lead to found grounded colony to be upgraded and / or have a population bloom.. Other: a derelict station or large ship.. not fully abandoned (found by "something" first) More info about the ancient race.. a dungeon somewhere that only the worthy can get across..

What mission would I like to see added? Personally I like the idea of exploring a derelict ship, finding clues to what happened to the passengers and what not. With the mission culminating into a hectic escape mission to get out. Basically starting up like Dead Space but ending like Halo. I'd love to see that.
Im thinking about merging our idea's,the book the hobo gave you will be directions to the abandoned ship somewhere in space. (maybe some loot and secrets too )
Colony based missions! They could be missions to build a colony with a certain number of people on a certain planet. There's plenty of other types of missions that you could based around colonies I'm sure
