Dammit, you guys keep making it so hard to pick a race. I couldn't decide between Glitch or Avian as it was, and now you tell me the Hylotl are based off Japanese culture? Oy vey... Don't mind me, I'll just be over in the corner, furiously trying to pick a race while quietly sobbing, "beta..."
That is pretty tough... between medieval styled tobors, tribal humanoid birds (who are apparently less savage then their other tribal... cousins, the Florans), or an aquatic race that is based off of oriental styles. I think they're all good choices, it really decides on how you want to play. It might get more clear when they release the Meet the Hylotl page

I keep supporting you, and in return you tell the other Devs to message me what secretive stuff they are working on! Deal? Deal! Looking forward to it! I would love writing descriptions for items based on the point of view of the characters. It's really neat to read all the things you're working on every day. Thanks so much for doing it!
Anyone else thinking of the Maneki Neko statue, only instead of a cat it's a catfish? Hang on, this needs an illustration... What a silly little guy! What's that he has nestled against his little belly? Is that an Hylotl charm of Fortune and Foresight, or an Eye of Ender? He's not telling. He's a fish.
