Yes, another Stable update just went out. It has bug fixes, mainly for server issues. I think kyren sent it out after mollygos went home.. so we'll probably hear about it in tomorrow's blog. It was 570 MB for me, but others said it was 249 MB for them.
I know that being against that is extremely selfish of me, so I won't say another two words that came to mind. But I actually have a small phobia regarding sunken ships. I know, not the most rational of fears.
I would love to have a submerged spaceship with the lower levels underwater with sharks... lots of sharks.
Will this oceans update destroy current builds on ocean worlds? I'm just starting on a pretty big one when I heard about Colonies being in the works, and I want to know if I should stop now before I invest too much. :/
No because those worlds are already generated. You would have to find an unexplored ocean world to see the changes.
have you guys thought about making crashed spaceships under water with like sharks lurking around I think that would be cool
I'm hoping it's just a nice new feature that lets people play both unstable and stable / nightly simultaneously without mucking about with folder duplication. Edit: I'd rather it have all three... that'd be a boon for mod testing.
I'm sure that someone suggested this already but I simply have to say it...... *Takes a deeeeep breath* PLZ ADD SHIPWRECKS!!! Be it normal ships or space ones. I seriously wanna see those....
Are those blocks make of gold and gemstones? That would be awesome if it is so i can build a treasure room with them.
It is a bug. Kyren said it had something to do with them making a new folder to put a nightly build in and the way Steam checks/approves updates. It should work itself out soon.
I'm really excited about this update, and I'm really hoping that we may eventually get some water variants of mini-boss type creatures, like giant trilobites, ammonites, or perhaps squid octopi (or maybe some even more "indescribable horror") to make venturing the deep a truly breath-taking experience. ^.^
I am still terrified while descending into the ocean. If you add shadows of big things swimming in the background or giant squid I will probably literally die from being terrified too much.
