To people who don't realize the price of a dedicated server, it costs about $50 a month for a 30-40 person Starbound server. Without a relatively nice stream of donations, lag and periodic crashes shall happen. We're doing our best, and Korwiggles is hard at work to get a functioning batch file to have the server restart on the hour.

 

yeah i think you should downgrade since i do get heavy lag at times and it seems to crash

 

It's because it's not being hosted by a service, but by my second PC. A hosting service is expensive, and not worth it unless we're actively getting donations. We have dedicated batch files being worked on that should help with the crashes AND the lag!

 

Haven't had to bump in forever, but feel like it now!

I did it! Give me about a day or so and I'll have the file finished enough for it to auto restart the server, the only thing is Ailron will have to watch it closely for the first day of it running.

 

What's the password? Why is there no password! HOW DO I GET ON?! WHY AM I USING CAPS LOCK!

Server restarts every 15 minutes, we also have invisible people going around and making spawn into a giant ocean.

10 seconds after the guy starts flooding us


20 seconds later

one minute later

 

We can't help griefers... what so ever, and trust me. It isn't for lack of effort. We've tried, best thing we can do is let them fuck around, and tidy up after them. And the "rolling restarts" which rarely happen, are so we can test various custom-coded batch files meant to keep the server dedicated and up longer. So thanks for the negative report ^-^
