Oh....the news that is good to see. I have a question that I probably should already know the answer to, will there be fishing in 1.0? As always, thanks for great game and all your hard work on it....it is definitely appreciated.
I hope you guys added the ability to interact with objects (doors, workbenchs etc) while you're in a tech that surpresses item use. It's kinda annoying you have to deactivate your tech everytime you want to open a door. However, I'm looking really forward to the release.
I know it is kind of late in development to be suggesting this, and its probably been suggested before. But perhaps instead of these "Nova Kid" villages everyone is asking for in hunger for Nova Kid furniture and same themed loot, seeing as their law has it they never really settle on one planet, maybe there should be different Nova Kid ship themed and shaped dungeons hovering in ultra low orbit (so within the planets/ worlds still), sort of like the Avian Airships but on a much bigger scale as it would be a SPACE ship as opposed to a flying boat.
their "law" doesn't prohibit them from self-colonizing a world, they just have other, more fun things to do.
I always thought that people who could stay with their project for years and still enjoy it are awesome! You, guys are doing nice job and have built a huge and nice community around the game! So, I wanted to just kinda thank you for both these things You're awesome
Interesting. I also noticed that the Unstable version got an update, but I assume it's still not up to snuff with the Nightly?
I'm pretty sure they would be more like frontier settlements: in a few years, they'll become ghost towns. You would have a roughly equal chance of finding a nonpopulated version than a populated one. Perhaps a small mine would be nearby, which would be largely depleted and also abandoned, and then promptly populated by cave beasts. I expect several more date pushbacks and huge disappointments in their future, seeing as they think they're smart enough to build a game of the supposed scope they claim in a SMALLER timespan than Starbound in a 3D space (so the planets are life sized, meaning that everything in between the interesting parts is that much wider) with controllable space flight and combat, with no indication that their development team is significantly larger or more experienced, with an even vaguer outlook for their game and one extremely boring goal with everything else so open ended that it might as well be Minecraft. Starbound has multiple task systems in place. I would be more concerned that Nomansky ruins Starbound's reputation by salting the earth with their failure.
So, apparently SAIL refuses to wake up... This is a big problem because if SAIL cannot be accessed,it means you cannot activate the teleporter And wihout the teleporter.... you might already know. This happened to me too
It's funny cos I've been working on updating my mod, and my SAIL wakes up just fine. After updating my mod and starting with a fresh new char, I wake up on my teleporter and SAIL is telling me to reboot it. Press E, click through the little conversation, and the teleporter works. So @John5428 et al, I don't know what to tell you.
"A handful of us have started playing through the whole game, and the remaining handful have gone to work fixing bugs we encounter along the way, tweaking whatever needs tweaking." so one group gets to play videos games, and the other has to listen to the first talk about how they played video games and then fix their problems for them? lol
no. one group plays the games and attempts to spot any bugs they can, the other group fixes said bugs.
