So, do these bug fixes apply to the nightly? If so, does that mean that ENERGY REGEN is fixed? I would be so happy
In the nightly build, I noticed that threat levels 8-10 were scrapped but threat level 7 (now called "Unreal" in the assets) was kept. Does this mean we'll get nebulae for endgame? Ever since sectors were scrapped with the release of Upbeat Giraffe, I've been looking forward to the implementation of nebulae more than anything else. I like a lot of the changes I've seen in the nightly build so far. Keep up the great work!
I was getting excited about no man's sky then i saw all this about 1.0 after not playing for ages and completely lost interest in no man's sky, i cant wait like a whole month for this, release an unstable version as soon as possible Chucklefish I think with the full release of this possibly coming out about the same time as NMS there's gonna be a massive sci-fi boom in the indie game scene and all the big older sci-fi games like ftl are gonna start getting more popular again too.
So we don't get a release date. What about a percentage of how complete is the game to be released? Because if you say 90% or 99%(this includes also the squishing of the bugs) it does not mean anything in regards to a time frame but at lease we have some new info. We can feel it in the air but the waiting is excruciating
So I've been playing the Nightly for a bit, and aside from a few bugs (which they are tweaking), the game looks almost completely ready. Don't want to get anyone's hopes up, it's still in development and such. But if I had to give a timeframe...within two months. Two months to finetune and polish everything.
I play Starbound on my mac, and whenever I go Fullscreen, it crashes. I am on version El Capitan. I don't know if this is a bug or not, but I would like to know. Thanks! Game looks great so far!
Because that number will change in either direction hourly. They don't have a Big List Of Every Bug Ever. They'll be finding new ones, possibly coming up with alternatives to certain issues, etc during this whole time in ways that will change the scope of what they feel needs to be finished before 1.0, making a % rating nigh-useless.
She does actually say in this post a few weeks, so i'd take that for about a month, if things go well 2 or 3 weeks, badly would be longer than a month I would say the bugs shouldn't be too plentiful cos im playing nightly and ive not encountered any game breaking ones yet and ive only seen a couple, that being said im not that far in.
i just hope they give novakids more items/objects and lore good thing to remember, quick! everybody do that thing
Now I want them to add a Bug bug which appears to be a small block of missingno-like glitchy texture artifacts. When you capture it in a jar the jar sits sideways floating in the air and occasionally inverts colors while the "bug" is just a big block of static in the center. Bug bug! Name: "[Name] Bug" Description Text: "[Default Description]" No matter what is said, the release date is always to be expected as: "When it's ready." Also, they are playing a dev build which is even more progressed than Nightly, so it's very possible there are far more bugs than you've encountered. Also please try not to double post. If you want to add something, edit your previous post. Agreed. I'm sure they will... I hope. Kind of pointless since those files will still be unusuable. The whole point of character wipes is so you don't try to use unusuable character files in the new build. They won't work... If they do properly I'd be very surprised. Also, the above applies. Please no double posting. If you want to add something, edit your previous post.
Catching bugs? Have you found a Shadowmoth yet? Those are hard to find. wow. very buge. much glich. gaem creshed. Bugss? Leif eat bugss if no meat. Call Leif. Leif eat all the bugss. Why is mah gun shootin' ketchup?
Well, lets see if you can get 1.o out before No Man Sky is released, But, if you don't, I wouldn't expect a lot of people who have been waiting for the 1.0 to even care it has been released after playing No Man Sky, which is just like Starbound, but with amazing graphics and infinite amount to explore, just without the building and farming aspect of Starbound. I plan on playing No Man Sky upon it's release, and hope yous guys release the 1.0 before it, but don't think it's gonna happen. (fingers crossed)
So in other words, it's not like Starbound at all? I mean, they're the same sort of genre, sure. But there's going to be plenty to differentiate them.
If you take out the building and farming from Starbound, you're left with exploring/adventuring. You'll upgrade your ship in No Man Sky, wait you do that in Starbound.....you'll upgrade your suit, you do that too in Starbound, and you'll upgrade you weapon....wait wait wait...don't you do that in Starbound too? You have a vast space system that's so big that even after years of playing the game you'll only really explore 1% of the planets out there, much like Starbound. I will build mining operations and such, so I guess I will be building some. Oh and the graphics are amazing amazing and if you think otherwise, you might need to have your eyes checked out. Now we'll all see when it's released on June 20th just how many people will still be waiting for 1.0. I'll still be playing Starbounddon't get me wrong, but not nearly as much. And I'll still be paying for a dedicated server for Starbound so others can enjoy playing with multiple people without having to worry about silly "RP" rules, or griefers, or anyone dictating how they must play.
