    I think its a good step in the right direction.
    Though I am not sure if a "PvP" sector is actually necessary.

    I think it should just be a mode enabled on multi player.
    With a server config to whitelist "safe planets" - where pvp is disabled.
    ========
    I don't believe a creative sector should be part of the main game.
    It should just be a different game mode you select from start up

    Essentially keeping character files separate. Creative character and Normal characters will be as separate flags. So they aren't found in the same universe together. Otherwise I am sure a lot of flack will come out of this later.

    Definitely the kind of thing I was hoping for - branching, sprawling options to expand what you do and where you go, and encouraging different gameplay styles. Only thing I would like to see is a crafting path as well where you build/use/sell crazy devices and such.

    this sounds amazing, although i do request with the linear "cannot go there because no breathable air" that you update all moons to at least threat level 4 and also change their enemy difficulty and ore distribution accordingly. because currently there are a lot of early game moons that you just cant do anything with until you are WAY past their threat level

    I'll kind of miss the good ol' sectors system, but I'm really excited about the outpost thing and the metroidvania progression :D

    Sounds very good, i like it!!

    A few comments:

    -First, i like the idea of building quests. The need for building in a planet it's not actually implemented and a lot of people simply doesn't build nothing. I like the idea of freedom so people can choose their roles (adventuring, building, etc) and so building can be an important part of the game for the people that choose so. Until now, i have the feeling that building it's not important, nor needed (by ex., i don't have the need to build when the game brings you constantly from 1 planet to another and a planet home offers little benefits). And that's a pity in a game with such a lot of items, furnitures, crafting plataforms, etc.

    -Second, even liking the idea of those initial quests to get the engine, i'm worried about the pixels part. I like more the idea of searching, through those quests, the materials needed to construct or repair the engine because it's your first survival trial in the game, and not a question of money.

    -Third, i like also the idea of removing the actual sectors. But, as some people already said here, please let us choose if we want to go to those 'inaccessible' planets. Or those planets are inaccessible or only a suicide and/or risky (ie the planets without atmosphere). If it's the last case, i can choose to suicide or to risk, but can choose. Freedom, again.

    -Fourth, about the paths of progression, please make that all of us can mix up those paths. I like to build, but also to farm and to explore. We need the feeling of all of that being important to progress in the game if we choose so. Very restricting roles are always dangerous in a game. Again, freedom xD

    -Fifth, i love the idea of an outpost (planet and maybe also space stations...).

    As these updates progress, I can't help but think it would be nice to transfer material between characters, so the updated one can lift up where the old one left off. Will this be a future feature, dear developers?

    These ideas sound great! I just hope that you're not pigeonholed into having to play only one of the progressions because I like farming, exploration and building all equally. That said, I LOVE the outposts ideas and being able to RENT ROOMS!! How awesome is that?! LOVE IT! Love that we'll be able to sell crops finally too and make some money off of those huge crop gardens I make.

    Love your ideas, looking towards the time when they become implemented. Wouldn't mind if you included present beta-game style as a separate play mode either. ^_~

    I wonder if you'll consider making some blocks indestructible for beginner mining tools (pickaxes), but that would still be gatherable with the default tech tool, although incredibly slowly.

    This sounds really cool, And I'm glad that the final game will be significantly different than the beta. May I request that you make a lot of these changes at the actual release? I enjoy playing now, and it would be really cool to suddenly have a very new experience in the final game rather than baby-stepping our way to the final model. I feel like by the time we get there, many may have lost interest. I know in my group of close gaming friends there's only 1 or 2 playing where we had almost 10 at the initial public release.

    This'll be awesome! From what I read, there will be no path for someone who has hoped to become a ruthless Bounty hunter or a Men full of dignity... That would definetly spice up my time in this universe^^ Perhaps the adventurer path isn't THAT stereotypical
