Question: Are the horse and rider separate entities? Will we be able to dismount creatures from mounts/mechs?

You make me want to look for a "watch person" option instead of just "watch thread". Every time you post a reply that I manage to read my faith in this community is a little more restored.

On-Topic:

I'm really quite curious to see what the different "mount" options will be. There's speculation on the robot horse and they have already stated elsewhere being able to make use of something that looked more like a construction mecha. I don't expect mounts to make it into the beta, but I'm sure whatever they do with them will make the game quite interesting. Personally I'm hoping for one that is aquatic/amphibious.

 

Okay....I was mostly doing that for an excuse to put a Sexualobster video here, but I am curious as to what the Avian mount will be.

EDIT 1: I forgot to mention, the steam knight, as i shall now affectionately call him, looks amazing! If i can get a horse like that... Glitch all the way! i was going to be Floran to start... But that's just epic!

Forgot to mention this in my whole praise Cthulhu ('Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn!') post, but for whenever I hear cultist I immediately think of Psychos off Borderlands screaming 'Skin the flesh, salt the wounds!' and quoting Shakespeare.

 

Yea, but there's also a lot of special weapon they specifically made. And borderlands kind of made the mistake of throwing them all in your face at once. Hopefully starbound wont do that.

 

I guess you could say it's BORE-derlands.

Oh please let the Beta happen soon. Terraria failed again, lol. After all, the huge overhyped update was not even worth beginning in a new world with a new created character. Took me one two days to see, or even SKIP new tier items, because of they are just useless (let me siscribe this a little closer: I easily skipped 4 whole Tiers of completely new armors and weapons because they are just not needed and not worth it, since it takes only one boss-kill followed by 1 or 2 hours of mining the obtain the best equipment in the game. Saw everything new, was not impressed, was really disappointed. And I thought this would somehow ease the waiting time for Starbound .. really sad.

But nevertheless, take your time to do something way better. PLEASE.

 

I'm unsure of the veracity of that statement, I'm fairly certain I am prepared for this measure of awesomeness, I'm sure I will be happy though
