What I really want are Pokemon mounts. Ponyta, Rapidash, Blitzle and Zebstraika for example, and the Glitch horse would be a good starting point. Plus I've always wanted to ride that damn horse.
I tested the hoverbike out, and it works great. I saw quite a lot of FPS drops, but that's only because I was going so fast, I broke the sound barrier (and the terrain was also rendering very quickly). One thing, though, is that it should hover a bit further from the ground, or have some other characteristic that prevents it from bumping into the sides of mountains, even when driving slowly. Edit: "...it should fly..." to "...it should hover..."
I keep thinking adding "slope" blocks to terrain generation might make travelling with vehicles easier...
In comparison to all the cool things they're adding, I really think the ground looks outdated now :\ not art-wise really but in generation. A slope block would smooth it all out and bring it up to speed.
Functionally, sloped terrain would make no difference since players and vehicles already move up and down one block gaps. It would be purely aesthetic, not functional.
@mollygos Saving the last of the monsters for Friday's post? Good luck pulling that off without burning your crotch.
Do them hoverbikes actually work on water btw? I'm curious. All of those totally should be in the game before it's released. Also, while perhaps harder to implement, I'd really like to see: - Vehicles with more than one seat (gunners, but also just taking your vehicle-less friend with you) - Storage capacity on vehicles - Upgrading / equipping of special modules / guns
I consider this to be you compensating for something. Planned. The system already kinda supports it, it's just not done yet.
VERRRY COOL! also i still hopeing for robot glitch horses to the glitchs and everone else also heres some real ones
It is in nightly, and semi-functional. Its using the code for the hoverbike, just set with heavy mass so it basically drags on the ground. Also has some other quarks. Its very hackish.
