Where did I say anything about ''It isn't meant to be unusual'' , I just said that killing one enemy over and over will be very repetitive , so more enemy types would be better.
yeah but i still hope that asteroids will become resource rich again ^^ and maybe get some spacestation dungeons so it would fit more to moons ^^
It can only be damaged by a yet unknown late-game weapon. Chakrams will do nothing but knock it back iirc.
I'm curious if there's any way to deter them. One thing I'd like to do in 1.0 is build little settlements on every planet I come across, tailored to that world. Moons would of course be mining facilities, but I'd rather not have EVERY single moon settlement suffer a similar fate to the erchius horror mission I'll be using the furniture from
I think that you can build up on this idea, such as a series of abandoned Erchius mines and mining colonies, portions of the mines being flooded in liquid Erchius fuel, and infested with converted miners, miniature sentient Erchius crystals (like the boss) as well as these ghosts and multiple other Erchius-related monsters, perhaps maybe a more advanced form of the converted miners, being more misshapen and aggressive than the regular blobs of flesh. who knows what can be suggested by just one mob? Urthdigger, you'd better equip your miners with the anti-erchius weapons then, or drain the nearby area of erchius fuel, because otherwise your moon settlements will become Erchius-ghost towns.
Hm, great. I can already smell the idiots who will modify an item to summon erchius ghosts before walking right in the middle of the hub on a multiplayer server.
No offense but if we can't kill these ghosts until endgame, i refuse to set foot on a moon. Plus it's not safe to build there either. Why cant we have a generator that kills all nearby ghosts and set spawnrate to 0%? As long as you stay near it of course. So then you can safely build and mine. Or only have some moons with ghosts and some without. So you have to take a risk to look for a truly empty moon or something.
Actually, all you have to do is not possess erchius crystals in your inventory. That's all! So you can in fact set up a colony without having to deal with them! Just... Don't try mining for erchius near your colony...
Random notes, but do weapons still deal knockback against ghosts? Before they were made energy-sapping and Erchius-dependant, I recall having lot of success evading them with a shotgun and sniper rifle(even moreso if I had a strong shotgun on hand) thanks to the high knockback both weapons are able to deal at range. Despite their invulnerability, I was often able to simply evade them by "clearing" the room around me via ranged knockback.
I might have just not found any weapons for it, but you can't even kill them in endgame. T6 Separator armor and all you can do is STILL run from them. My engineer Crewmates managed to make my reactor take no fuel at all to go from one edge of the universe to another though, so I no longer need moons.
I never really saw the appeal of a moon base colony, but hey. At least it's now a viable option for those that want it.
Well, that means you can make a huge colony there made out of cheap houses so you can farm tons of money from them, which you can then use to buy fuel outright.
