Actually the races have been said to have no gameplay advantages over others, aside from the crafting recipes they start with and their comments about objects. Just like Avians are birds that need armor to glide Hylotl will probably be aquatic creatures that need armor to breathe underwater. They'll be able to craft them very early, but don't naturally breathe underwater. Maybe they worship some sort of fish god that was able to breathe underwater...? It makes me wonder whether they live in bubbles or underwater caves or what. Also that decoration on the left... Water underwater?! Reminds me of Spongebob. Unless it'll be inside an air bubble! Also I find it funny how Hylotl have paper doors on their underwater houses!
Ummmm...this is officially a "HECK YES" from me! I plan to have the first underwater sushi bar in the game, thankyouvermuch. It will have live musicians. I am incredibly excited about the Hylotl look, and I beg you not to make them any more awesome or I *will* wet my pants. ALSO: You're all wrong about the fishaxe. The fishaxe is instead used to cut down the tallest tree in the forest to clear out room for you to plant some shrubberies, preferably a two-layered theme with a little path wending along between them. If someone else doesn't do it, I most certainly will do it. And you're gonna love the way it sounds: I guarantee it.
I was watching the streams yesterday and I'm pretty sure it's a dev tool after seeing Tiy mining at the speed of light.
I wanna see how you can have a bamboo fountain under water. Are we going with Spongebob physics laws here? But no really, how's that gonna work?
I think the first step is you have to summon this guy: From there your newly conjured bubble buddy will provide the airflow necessary to create a subaquatic breathing space wherein you can run your bamboo spigot.
My home will be safe from predators that roam through the shrubs above, but what about deep sea predators? Will there be monsters lurking in the deep? (I sure hope so)
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for mentioning this song. I went and looked it up and loved it. I had never heard of The Piano Guys before. May I recommend an obscure new age pianist whose music I also ADORE? His name is Greg Maroney (www.gregmaroney.com). He has a variety of songs I love, but I think my favorite is "Along the Codorus." It may be because he is a Pennsylvanian pianist and the Codorus is a Pennsylvanian river and I grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania, but I love that song, I love listening to it, I love playing it on the piano, and I'm going to enjoy porting it over to be music in Starbound. If you play an instrument, I highly recommend his full piano sheet music score as it comes in a very sturdy spiral-bound book that won't keep closing shut on you like a paper-back spine does...the music is arranged in very easy to read format, and is extremely playable while also being somewhat of a challenge in some of the arrangements. I have found that his music serves equally well as special music at a church service as it does as just something to play when I have friends over. I even play it sometimes if I'm feeling down or depressed. He even has one song that I play when I remember my infant daughter who passed away, and it brings me some small wedge of comfort in those times. Well, that's enough soul-bearing on the Internet. I hope you enjoy his music...you can find his stuff for free on Spotify if you use that to listen to music (it's free: www.spotify.com). Greg Maroney gettin' down with his barefoot self. If you're upset I feel bad for you son I got 99 problems and shoes ain't one I sincerely hope that there are far worse things than mere predators. Sharks aren't hard enough. I hope that as you roam the depths of the ocean, you can call up hideous benthic creatures from their sunless domain. OOOOO! I JUST GOT SO EXCITED! I was reminded of how much fun the Message in a Bottle treasure hunts were in Ultima Online. Another suggestion to add to the game! Huzzah!!!!! *whisks off to the suggestions thread* Link to the corresponding suggestion thread page: http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?threads/message-in-a-bottle-quests.25427/
