It means platforming challenge in this context. In this case, you have to give the apex the materials to make the tech, then complete the obstacle course to unlock it, and then finally use a specific number of tech chips to enable it.
Please return the Butterfly boost, That thing was amazing. Also, it would be cool if we were required to craft/trade the butterfly boost with the bugs that can be caught on each planet.
I have to agree with the returning of the butterfly boost or any thing that does the same type of flying ability, That hovering tech isn't even useful since you'd have to get a good height or you'll just end up having to land because of a hill or building getting in the way.
Gating tech/progression behind mandatory platformer-levels? Just nope. Plx have alternative ways of acquiring them.
come on dont act like those dungeons were big or really hard true some places are a challenge for real but thats like 1/10 of a dungeon that is actually not beatable by sprinting through it right now and its still better than having to beat bosses to get tech
Fear not about challenge rooms, guys. The grappling hook and teleport etch make them easy as pie. I suck at obstacle courses too, but you can literally set your mouse over a platform and blink onto it with no skill whatsoever. Just take them gradually and it's easy to get through them with that tech.
It isn't good for me... Even some tech are easier to obtain, techs are more expensive now and there isn't my favourite tech any more. Very sad P.S. sorry for my english
Ok. About obstacle course's. Some of comunity is complaining about them. But course's are easy! It does it's job. If you can't pass the obstacle course, that mean's you're not ready to really use the tech. Basic knowlege with tech's is perfectly enough to pass the obstacle, and if you don't have this knowlege, there is the obstacle course, which job is to provide the player with expierience about tech. They might get kinda boring if someone is making many character's, and need's to pass the obstacle courses every time though.
Maybe they could make it so you have two options, The first being getting it free by completing a simple obstacle course or second you could pay the npc a few thousand pixels for the tech for those who don't want to be bothered to do a simple obstacle course.
Well, I'm sad there's no more rocket boots, but for the targeted blink, the translocator makes an awesome replacement. (Just have to find one of the bloody things...)
