If not, why not just have it as an examination function for itms you find out in the field for base type items (coal, copper, iron, matter manipulator components, plant fibres, wood, etc) to share what they can do with them for earlier players. I doubt that it would go as far as telling players about titanium and higher tier ores.
Kawa, it's okay, you can relax. No one's out to get you. Besides, AI dialogue is currently identical across species. In that last sentence I was only talking about the writing, not the support.
Tutorials that you can turn off. I'll believe it when I see it considering that even the ship's pet is an enforced thing.
Will they still spoil the twist in the first mission? That was kinda disappointing when i first read it. Also, you should make other players' SAILs say "Access Denied" or something when you try to use them, at the moment nothing happens.
Guess it would be nice to have smthg like another kind of codex including full description of ores, locations, races, monsters and other stuff you've just collected, reached or killed. Like your own handy encyclopedia expanding during your adventure.
All I can think of is that scene in the Megaman X Sequelitis. "This chart represents how many times gamers have said "...YAIGETIT" over the years." =P
I suggest 3 options. 1: No notifications 2: Have a clickable notification icon like [!] to let us know that indicates SAIL has a something to say 3: A full open window like you are showing
I agree that the messages should be kept to an easily managable length but overall this is a great! More intereaction from SAIL and other NPCs will give the game a more lively feeling.
