    Yes, Molly posted about it - see your personal settings in the upper right, and then "preferences".

    Currently, you are not given the tutorial quest "A Flash of Light" at the beginning of the game. This was originally what enabled the upgrades at the console.

    You can use commands to enable the upgrades at S.A.I.L. In admin mode (on SP type /admin), paste or type out this code:
    Code:
    /aiaction {"action" : "EnableCommand", "command" : "upgradeBeamaxe1"}
    Alternatively, you can use a code to upgrade your manipulator without resources using the code below.
    Code:
    /aiaction {"action" : "UpdatePlayerEssentialItem", "parameters" : {"canCollectLiquid" : true,"tileDamage" : 5,"blockRadius" : 5,"minBeamJitter" : 0.3,"maxBeamJitter" : 0.4,"minBeamWidth" : 8,"maxBeamWidth" : 10}, "essentialItem" : "beamaxe"}
    This should upgrade your MM fully. Note: You must have the beamaxe for this to work.
    For just the liquid collection, use the code below.
    Code:
    /aiaction {"action" : "UpdatePlayerEssentialItem", "parameters" : {"canCollectLiquid" : true}, "essentialItem" : "beamaxe"}
    I've noticed that some players can't copy and paste text into chat. Is this a frequent problem?

    So is this going to completely replace 3D printing? Everything in the universe gets scanned so that you have to craft it? Because frankly, that seems like it'd be pretty annoying. As it is, you guys already made like half the shit in the game unscannable, which really bums me out because I now have to dedicate even more storage space to various items that I can't otherwise replicate.

    The thing about 3D printing is convenience; if I want an Avian Chest right now, all I have to do is pick it from a list and throw some pixels at it. Boom, I have the chest. If all I can do is get a recipe for one and craft it, that requires me to grab my crafting materials from several different containers, go the the correct crafting station, make my stuff, then put away any leftover materials. This might not be that big of a hassle if there was also a system akin to Fallout 4's workshops in place where you can pipeline contained goods directly into your stations, but... you know, like I said, convenience.

    You don't need to go that far, you can just run the predefined aicommands instead (using /aicommand <command_name>): http://community.playstarbound.com/...tor-wont-pick-up-liquids.103134/#post-2724329

    I'd say, learn to manage your inventory better, in a storage planet. I also suffer from this so I guess I'll have to learn to do it as well :p I'd also recommend setting up a lot of farms of all kinds. I can't wait for the update to reach stable :D

    well, i started playing the nightly build, just a bit, and i already like the new crafting system.

    i had enough of the crafting bench beeing full of useless things like doors and bed, and everithing beeing separeted is really nice. the upgrade and the variety in the new crafting recipies refreshing.

    But you have to change the outposts! i dont know why but the 1st and only quest i got when i got there was to bring a wooden crafting bench so they can upgrade it to iron, but we can no longer craft it! so i quit and im now waiting to see what will be going on

    edit: i also want to say that the lightning in the game sucks a lil bit. in short, you cant make a pitch black room if there is a light in another room next to it, and that annoyes me a lot so plz fix dis

    I already have not only an entire workshop on my ship full of crafting materials stored away, but an entire giant rear compartment full of lunar base lockers for storage. More storage at this point seems to imply I should hollow out a planet and fill it with crap. And either way, this still doesn't address the convenience factor; in fact, it makes it worse. More storage equals more junk to sort through endlessly. Even with good organization, the more shit you've got, the harder it becomes to find.

    I'm just saying I would like the option to still 3D print things. Hell, make the prices back to what they were several versions ago in the hundreds and thousands and turn them into a high-level money sink if you have to, but I'd really just like to keep that option available.

    Yeah I was mucking about with the new crafting for a bit and it got old fast. The crafting time on everything is just too much. The old days where you set up multiple furnaces loaded with ores and came back for the bars later was a bit of a pain but manageable, but this is just awful. You can't do anything else but sit there and watch a little bar fill over and over again as you process materials into something useful. Not only that but you need large amounts of different materials of different tiers to make anything. This is the kind of shit you have peasant workshops do in city builders so I hope if they're set on this sort of production chain you'll at least let us make colonists do this for us.

    Indeed; The last Storage-Room-y building I made ended up being a not convenient at all, 24-story building. I sure hope they add better inv. management.

    yea i had to redecorate the front of the ships so it wont look odd by adding an iron leaver to act like a control stick in-front of the cptn seat then made it in to two level and made a small mod by edditing the cage console to show a hologram display when i stand on it of the ship and its thursters and a map i hated sitting on a single chair standing oddly in the middle of the room all alone... it was ok for a small ship but for a big one ?. ...no i wish we can move it or change it or feel like its the control of such a big ship

    As much as I enjoy Starbound, I have a few suggestions to make for the experience so far:

    Put some innovations in the storage: Having the Matter Manipulator with a new mode that is similar to a dolly to be able to move the storage around (At least up to three if possible) would be nice. I've made some cities/towns and I wish to move my organized chests downward to the planet without having a messy inventory and less teleporting back and forth. If not that than something similar to that (Beam supplies down would be even cooler)

    New Moves for the one handed weapons: Not going to lie, I've done some killer combos with the combat update out. The thing is I kinda wish the one handed weapons were brought to justice. For example, dual wielding swords. Why not create something like the spear's flurry except with swords, or an x-slash projectile attack. (Not sure about the Axes though...)

    I know you guys are working really hard, but maybe consider these suggestions for the future
