    I, myself, is a game developer and I know one thing, there is never too much information AND there is never too much flexibility. Like enabling or disabling the "too much texty" thing with an option, so the player could decide if they want it or not

    Personally, I'm not a fan of the text labeling. I feel like it kinda ruins the sense of immersion by pointing out something that should be reasonably obvious to any half-witted space explorer. When you start the game there should be something that indicates where everything is, but after that it should be assumed that the player knows what they're doing.

    I would strongly support some kind of quest tooltip/screen overlay, or a tutorial, or even small icons over this method.

    I am not a fan of the text, flashing arrows would be better. It could be part of the whole tutorial and introduction where flashing arrows point to various parts of the game and UI to show people what everything does. It also has the benefit of allowing experienced players to turn the tutorial or introduction system off when they know what they are doing, e.g. re-installing the game should not force someone to go through it all over again.

    I feel like a good medium would be instead of the letters looking digital, they look painted on in like a caution yellow, or black. like you often see in space ships in movies/games...that might help it not stick out so much while still telling new players where things are.

    Once again i got home from the work... Again crying on my keyboard... They even released Godus in early access, But it dont take away my tears. Why i cant play the game, same version what u used in I49 could be more than enough. I know you try hard, but you need to try harder. Ps. Crying every morning is realy making my head hurt. (and my neighbours are thinking my gf does domestic violence to me every morning.)

    What if the locker was a locker? And themed for each race?

    I'd make the text a bit smaller, but other than that it looks fantastic.

    maybe put what would look like a chat box over the locker and once the locker has been open once the text box will disappear but I honestly like what you all did its on a screen with text that stands out well doesn't look out of place your on a high tech ship I would expect there to be some screens with something on them so it adds feel of being in a space ship

    I'm sorry, but this really looks guady and is just an eyesore. Just put an image of the locker on the quest info.


    And please, if you add something like this in make it toggleable. For the love of god spare us that much.

    Perhaps they were just not in their comfort zone and seeing as it was just a testing demo, there was no reason to be meticulous in their searching. With a moderator hovering over you and with limited time spent, I can understand why they would want to hastily get on with game-play without paying attention to the more intrinsic details. Just my opinion, though. :)

    I say let them get lost. No need for hand holding in an open game like this. People'll figure it out. Pulling out from Minecraft, that game told you how to open up your inventory and that was it.

    I'm personally not a fan of the text. It takes away from the "off-Earth" aesthetic of the game.

    I could see why people might not have noticed the lockers and whatnot, great improvement. Keep up the work :)

    I don't think that an option to turn this off would really be necessary. These signs will only appear on your ship and the only one that looks kind of out of place is the beam one. I think that if these signs are included in the final game, then you should get rid of the window behind the beam sign because it makes it look wierd.

    I think that that look would be good for a starter ship, so it can change out later, my own opinion however just putting it out there :)

    I am curious about something. Maybe this was talked about already, but here goes.

    Why not start the game with the starting equipment already in your inventory, instead of in some locker? That way there wouldn't be a need to go around labeling things in the first place, right? Maybe? I dunno. I just know that's how Terraria did it and it obviously wasn't a problem for that game. So why fix something that isn't broken?

    Not really a fan of the textiness... could there be mouse-over animations instead? like the locker opening or the beam charging up?
