The problem with the current randomly generated mobs is that pretty much all of them are divided into two categories: bipedal and quadrupedal. What I want to see is more variations on that, which has been shown recently in these blog posts. Tall quadrapedals, deer-like animals, serpentine animals, etc. etc. As it is now, there's definitely a lot of different animals through different combinations, but alone they feel more or less the same.
The forest paralax is really nice. Actually so nice it got me posting on here after a while. I just hope the forest actually ends at some points and it doesnt just look like that on the whole planet. Atmospheric variety on a single planet would be a welcome addition. And that forest looks like it does that.
THIS. The core game mechanics that are all but forgotten are sorely missed. I spent about half an hour building a cozy snow cabin, but it's a waste since I don't need to stuff hamburgers in all of my orifices to survive anymore. Also, new nightly update; all I have to say is YES.
'Dat forest though?!?! YES ALL MY YES!!!! Forest planets were lacking SO much in the background, now it really just, oh my I am blown away.
I checked every post in this thread to see if anyone else caught this before i bring it up: hylotyls have three eyes, but cry from two!? This looks wrong as tears are also a biological function of eye maintenance and video game failure.
The third eye is also covered by most of their armor helmets, personaly i would be more bothered by that. It may be that the third eye isent functional but simply a evolutionary remnant from a time where they hade a need for three eyes.
It's funny you should say that. It only takes four maybe six changed pixels per relevant expression in one file to fix this:
Well that is a bit more progress on yet another little thing that makes a difference in the worlds. Unsure what to make of the presented emote. One coughs up sparkles while the other looks like blood?! Well does to me. So i am unsure... But still nice to hear more emotes coming regardless.
