Love it and can't wait these weapons could totally be a form of technology that's magic like I assume they use plasma or the like to work.
Oh Precursor, you're adding a AoE Regen spell! *Squee* Now I don't need to carry a tent with me everywhere I go! ...or if they stack, I can cast the spell, then go to sleep.
to ur second statement yes it could be... u would just have to increase the amount of water stored inside the bark of the plant, which should at least prolong the time in which the plant does not burn
So finally spells won't be attached to staffs, instead we wi'll be able to cast any spell useing one type of staff, it could be very cofrotable, also i think that some simpler spells could not demand from us to use both hands so we could use something (gun or shortsword) in other hand
I don't believe she meant that you'd be able to cast multiple types of spells with one weapon, You'll still need to find others if you want to change from some thing like fire to electric. But they do for sure get a secondary attack just like guns and other weapons do when you right click, Also they have staves and wands the staves will still use up both hands but the wands only use one so you could use a secondary weapon along side the wands.
Food regen + bandage regen + Bed regen + healing water regen + staff regen would look amazing. Unless they change it they do stack up. There was a video showing how fast your health regen could get but sadly I can't find it now.
I like this. Don't get me wrong in my asking this, but how is this different from the "no magic" stance that has previously been taken?
I don't agree with you on this subject, but I like to commend you for the correct usage of the word 'plethora.' Rare, that - most people misuse it as a fancy word for 'many.'
Care for something a bit more constructive? If you think it is a bad idea, perhaps people would like to hear your opinion on how to fix it.
I have a question for the staves and wands. 1.Can the targeting be used through terrain? 2. are you still unable to move while using it? (i thought that was a odd choice and didn't get it) And count me in on liking them being called staves and wands. two different reasons really. 1. while there is likely a technological setup for these weapons, the fact that not all cultures are going to go into such detail when describing it. 2. human terms for weapons are all over the place. A sword or axe would not be called or developed the same way across the races, yet they are still all called swords. likewise, the weapon that is being introduced here is a magic staff, or a staff, or a wand. we are using familar terms to fit the weapons being introduced to us.
It is still not a fantasy. No, the effects it is certainly interesting and useful. But the tool ... Maybe high-tech gloves, bracers, consoles?
