This applies even to the cobblestone areas in town! Yet to find out if it carries over into festival events, however...
Summary of issue: Pierre has a completely random silver-quality cauliflower in his stock Expected Behavior: Pretty sure Pierre isn't meant to be selling this. Actual Behavior: He sells a single, overpriced silver-quality cauliflower, his stock runs out after the purchase, you can sell it back to him. After you re-open his shop window, however, the cauliflower is back there. Steps for Reproduction: I'm not sure, I am currently on spring and may have sold him some cauliflowers beforehand. One day I just scrolled down and I saw it there in his shop. What Operating System are you using: Windows 7
Summary of issue: It is far too easy to sell stacks of seeds to Pierre. Expected Behavior: A pop-up asking "Are you sure you want to sell 64 blueberry seeds?" would be outstanding! Actual Behavior: woops, just sold all of those hard earned blueberry seeds? Too bad, I'll give you half price for them and not offer you a chance to buy them back! Steps for Reproduction: go buy a bunch of seeds then accidentally sell them. now close the game before you saved and do the whole day over again! What Operating System are you using: Windows 10
CA: we're getting a number of new threads hear discussing 1.1 issues. Just a thought, but you might want to consider changing the name of this to reflect problem reporting here.
I was fairly certain that was the case, but I cant help but chuckle at the thought of making everyone shuffle through waist-high grass during the Fair.
Summary of issue: Item pop-ups are covered by toolbar Expected Behavior: The pop-up will be over the toolbar so you can properly read it. Actual Behavior: The pop-ups are underneath the toolbar and difficult to read. Steps for Reproduction: Unfortunately, it seems to have just randomly occurred early in my save file, falling asleep and fiddling with graphics settings doesn't seem to help the issue. It seems to be permanently stuck that way. What Operating System are you using: Windows 10
Summary of issue: Wrong dialog Expected Behavior: No tape inside parrot's pole Actual Behavior: There's a tape inside Steps for Reproduction: Marry Emily. After she's living with you, go to now Haley's house back to Emily's room. The parrot pole won't make a noise but has a tap inside? What Operating System are you using: Win10
Summary of issue: Unusual farmer sprite behavior followed by freeze at fishing game in the Stardew Valley Fair. Was able to catch a few fish but on one pole cast I froze in place and couldn't move my character. The clock ran out but I remained stuck indefinitely. Expected Behavior: Cast line successfully and fish at the fair minigame. Actual Behavior: My farmer's sprite appeared to be trying to show both a front and side view simultaneously from the start of the minigame, and my character froze after several attempts at casting a line to catch fish. The time it froze was when the cast was too short to make it into the water. Steps for Reproduction: Play the fishing minigame at the Fair. Hold to cast the line too short to make it into the water. What Operating System are you using: Windows 10 See screencap here: http://imgur.com/a/xIxAf (As you can see in the screencap I do have two appearance modifying mods in use here with the hair and the skirt but I don't know if that's related?)
Not sure if this is a bug or just a quality of life issue but I play with a gamepad mostly (I have to still use a mouse or watering/reorganizing items takes for-freaking-ever) Summary of issue: curser doesn't show up when in menu, and so you cannot click on anything, though sometimes you can use the up down arrows to navigate. doesn't always happen Expected Behavior: curser to show up Actual Behavior: I open a menu with the gamepad, and the curser was not already on screen, so the curser does not apear, and I cannot select menu choices. in order to not have this, I have to make sure my curser is visible before I open a menu. sidenote: if my curser is sitting on the menu bar it will quick select an item by accident when I am attempting to perform an action or talk to someone, causing me to erroneously give gifts. I have also accidentally rummaged garbage cans when trying to talk and attempted to eat an item instead of giving a gift, because it doesnt auto place your 'action' act at the front of your feet (doing so would make gamepad usage much smoother) Steps for Reproduction: allow the curser to disappear and then open a menu (quest journal works well for this) What Operating System are you using: windows 10, logitech gamepad.
I actually had this happen, but didnt realize it, just thought it was odd that I had a random watered tile..... I am on windows 10
Bug: I found a bunch of Jumino in the relationship page. Expected Behavior: No Jumino on relationship page Actual Behavior: Juminos! Steps for Reproduction: Get the Jumino hut. Try open relationship page on the day they harvest. OS: Win 10 x64
Summary of issue: Minor graphics glitch involving clipping of player sprite into farmhouse wall Expected Behavior: Vertical wall tile is flush with the neighboring ones, with no "opaque" pixels Actual Behavior: When the player crosses behind these tiles, the layer's sprite clips all the way along the very top of any vertical tile connecting to a corner tile, with varying intensity as the player moves back and forth (Sometimes only a small sliver is visible, other times the glitch is as visible as in the screenshot). The wall tiles seem to be flush with one another until the player crosses behind it. This only seems to apply to these vertical tiles, and not the others. Steps for Reproduction: Walk behind any wall in the farmhouse, especially here in the doorway, and observe any wall sprite similar to the one seen clipping in the screenshot. I'm not sure if this occurs in any other buildings. What Operating System are you using: Windows 8.1, Steam, no mods
Summary of issue: With the Tracker path for the Foraging Skill, sometimes a yellow indicator will point to an inaccessible location in the Railroad area Expected Behavior: There is no indicator Actual Behavior: In Railroad, sometimes a yellow indicator spawns in pointing to the top of the screen, beyond the northern cliffs; I walked (rode) all along the top edge of the area and it never went away, nor did I find any forageables. The indicator moves as the player does, just like any other indicator, but wherever it is pointing is inaccessible. Possibly a result of forageables spawning in inaccessible locations? Steps for Reproduction: I have no idea, seemingly dependent on where forageables decide to spawn, so random? I have only experienced it once in the Railroad area, so I am not sure if it occurs anywhere else. What Operating System are you using: Windows 8.1, Steam, no mods See top center of the screen in screenshot.
Uncertain if this is truly a bug, but still... Summary of issue: Environmental objects spawning on what should be a vertical surface. Expected Behavior: Rocks, weeds, etc. to treat tiles representing the joining of land and lake, and cliff drop offs as unpopulatable tiles, Actual Behavior: Rocks, branches, weeds, maybe other objects spawning on tiles that should be unsuitable. Steps for Reproduction: Start new game, select wilderness map, go to lake in bottom corner, or to cliff edges. Occurs with some regularity. What Operating System are you using: Windows 8.1
Summary of issue: Tulips stacking wrongly after buying pink hued tulip from Traveling merchant. Expected Behavior: Multi-colored tulips stack individually based on color Actual Behavior: Tulips stack as pink color no matter the color when picked. Had normal stacks of red, yellow and blue tulips, bought pink tulips from TM and caused all tulips in inventory to stack as pink regardless, and tulips now stack as pink after this. Have not tried to recreate this in another save, as it is on-going in the first save file. Steps for Reproduction: Tested with a new game, same issue. Also happens when you buy tulips from the TM first and then harvest tulips afterwards and stays with the save. What Operating System are you using: Windows 10 It isn't game breaking, just a little smirk worthy unless you are OCD and sort your flowers by color (like M&Ms)
Summary of issue: My seeds aren't growing. Expected behavior: After planting red cabbage seeds and watering them and waiting for a day, they should grow from the 'seed' state. Actual behavior: They seem to be waiting for two...three days before growing into plants. Steps for reproduction: Just plant some red cabbage and wait for them to grow. They won't. What OS are you using: Windows 10. ----- Summary of issue: You've applied Botanist to all items picked off the ground. Expected behavior: After picking up a small egg or a large egg or a dino egg, there should not be quality stars. Actual behavior: Gold-starred Dino Egg. Gold starred every egg. Steps for reproduction: Have the Botanist perk and pick up an egg off the ground. Voila! What OS are you using: Windows 10.
This is a graphical bug that I noticed never made it to the front page list and has not yet been fixed since it was mentioned on Friday, so I just wanted to make sure it wasn't lost in the pages. Summary of issue: Shadow of character clips through the textures of the cliffs in the southern-most entrance/exit to the farm, and the south-eastern portion of the Hill-Top Farm to either side of the river. Expected Behavior: Shadow would not clip through the textures Actual Behavior: Shadow goes through the bottom of tiles at southern-most entrance/exit to the Hill-Top Farm, and each corner piece of the cliff in the south-eastern-most portion of Hill-Top farm on either side of the river Steps for Reproduction: Walking character to indicated locations What Operating System are you using: Windows 7 64-bit First tile to the left [can't tell with the second tile due to tree] and all first three tiles to the right of pathway have clipping Each corner furthest in towards the river has clipping ------- On another note, I'm also still unsure as to whether it was a bug or intentional that the Sweet Gem Berry was never classified as either a fruit or vegetable, and therefore was never usable in kegs or preserves jars, as a result, despite being noted as a Berry and still being able to still place it in the Seed Maker as with other crops. I've never seen an official answer for this and I know many others wonder the same thing. On a similar note, the Sweet Gem Berry is listed as a universally neutral gift, neither liked nor disliked by any NPCs in-game, despite its rarity and high value, which I was curious about. ------- And one last thing I had been curious about is the Dinosaur Eggs, and whether or not there was a possibility of those receiving similar treatment to the Void Egg, as they currently only create basic mayonnaise when put into the Mayonnaise Machine, which actually devalues the eggs when you process them, making them only viable to sell as a raw product. If there were a form refinement for the Dinosaur Egg to close the cycle, and/or even have a cooking recipe perhaps which utilized this extremely rare item, it would make it feel much more rewarding after finally acquiring them. Similar to the Sweet Gem Berry to a degree, the Dinosaur Egg is also listed as being universally disliked, which I was also curious about, as it would seem potentially Demetrius, maybe Maru, and even the kids Vincent and Jas might be inclined to have an interest in the wonders of dinosaur eggs, though these are just some thoughts and it'd be great to hear some feedback.
