From what we can tell 1.1 is still using XNA on windows, any chance it can have the same codebase as osx and unix? Because that would make things a lot easier on us modders!
Looks like the half-screen-dark/half-screen-light is more prevalent than I thought. It is now also happening on the Wilderness map. However, when I resized my screen, it went away. Odd.
Summary of issue: Opened up the game after closing the game shortly before. Farm used before closing was using the Wilderness template, unsure if it affected it. Expected Behavior: Game loads to main menu Actual Behavior: Started to load but crashed (screenshot attached) Steps for Reproduction: What Operating System are you using: Windows 10
Summary of issue: Fished a sunfish out of the ocean. Expected Behavior: Sunfish is a river fish, shouldn't be fished out of the ocean. Actual Behavior: Fished up a sunfish, left of the fishing shop, in the water between the two docks. First fish caught. Spring 2, new game, hilltop farm Steps for Reproduction: Go fishin'! >) What Operating System are you using: Win 8 Summary of issue: Foraging item spawning inside unreachable area. Expected Behavior: Should be able to pick up item- but it's trapped behind a fence Actual Behavior: Wild horseradish spawning inside of Marnie's fenced-in area next to her house/shop. Steps for Reproduction: Random chance, I assume! What Operating System are you using: Win 8 (different file) Summary of issue: Game crashes before saving when sleeping. Expected behavior: Game saves, next day starts. Actual behavior: Game crashes. Summer 2 year 3. Shipping/not shipping, doing different activities, etc etc, nothing changes it. Does not have to do with the dark talisman in my case, I assume, b/c I already used it in its quest and am on the next step (goblin) Steps for reproduction: Happens every time on this file, nothing fixes it that I've found so far. (I have a backup if it's just corrupted tho!) What Operating System are you using: Win 8 IDK if hardwood stumps/logs/large rocks were meant to be spawning directly in front of bridges on hilltop farm (blocking you from travelling your farm from the bottom entrance in the early game), I can go around through town so it's not game breaking. I have big old rocks and stumps directly blocking 2 bridges. If it's deliberate, then nm.
Summary of issue: Shane's 6 heart event was a little... strange Expected Behavior: The event would play out as normal Actual Behavior: Shane said his normal dialogue "im gonna go to the saloon, what else is there to do?" then Marnie phased through his door and my character tried to walk through the closed door (to no avail) Steps for Reproduction: Enter Marnie's House when Shane is at 4 hearts (9 o'clock exactly was when it happened to me) What Operating System are you using: Windows 7
So my save with the chest is a full glitch, cause I closed it without saving and now that save won't work. I backed it up and am now going to try and replace it with that back up BUT it did kill my game
for the record, I fix my "won't launch via steam issue" ... client was bugged. Had a dialog box pop up letting me know of an update, but had no way to ok the "apply and restart", only to close it. Accidentally found my way to what looked like a console interface and managed to find my way to that option. after restarting steam, SDV launched just fine... smh. Ok, back to the 1.1 content.
AHHHHHH THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!! I'm gonna hoP RIGHT IN so far i haven't seen anything other than what was mentioned but i am So Excited wow thanks for letting us do this
I don't know if this was intentional, but I thought it might be worth noting as I created 2 characters just to see if it would happen twice and it did. Summary of issue: On the Hill-Top Farm map, a large stump and large rock (2x2) spawns directly in front of bridges, effectively blocking the path. (Two bridges; one north-south facing bridge directly right of the farm quarry and the other east-west bridge near bottom farm exit - possibly others?). I thought maybe the paths were purposefully blocked but I was able to get around them by going a long way around. Expected Behavior: Vital walking paths (i.e. bridges) to be unobstructed or clear-able with beginning tools. Actual Behavior: Blocked paths necessitating either very round-about walk arounds or blocking off areas that should be accessible at the beginning of the game (even if you do have to navigate a large amount of log/stone/rubbish). Steps for Reproduction: Create a new Hill-Top Farm game. (May or may not consistently happen but happened in 2 games consecutively for me.) What Operating System are you using: Windows 10
I was literally typing this out to submit when you beat me to it! I also noticed this issue, and the phantom block on the lowest right bridge but that one seems to have been addressed.
Wow. If it weren't for the bundles (I never want to have to fish ever again!) I'd actually be tempted to start over with one of the new farm layouts. This will be an extremely good update for an extremely good game. I won't be beta testing it due to having the shiny Goodoldgames version rather than the steam one, but I'm sure there's no lack of others in the community here who will help out.
A side note to the reports of NPCs giving familiar dialog before the Nice To Meet You first time text, Shane did NOT give me familiar dialog, just the gruff, I don't know you, why are you talking to me. I wonder if that has something to do with not completing the Getting Acquainted quest until I talked to him the second time?
Evening of the sixth day, hit level 5 in mines, on the Wilderness map... still no monsters spawning. Not sure if bug or feature.

Summary of issue: Visual bug with smoke from chimney in fully upgraded house Expected Behavior: Smoke comes out of chimney Actual Behavior: Smoke comes out of roof next to the chimney Steps for Reproduction: Fully upgrade house, walk outside, look at smoke What OS are you using: Windows 10 64 bit
Summary of issue: Over-exertion not occurring Expected Behavior: Beyond a certain amount (I'm not sure the exact number, but I know I went past it) character should have over-exerted status and slowed movement Actual Behavior: At 2 energy left no over-exertion or slowed walking pace occurs Steps for Reproduction: This seems to only occur on the mining map (the other maps over-exertion occurs when energy is low. What Operating System are you using: Mac OS X 10
Summary of issue: The game randomly crashed while I was ending one day and going to the next. Expected Behavior: Not crashing Actual Behavior: Crashed to desktop, Windows said Stardew Valley has stopped working Steps for Reproduction: Randomly happens after daily summery screen, but before the next day starts What Operating System are you using: Windows 10 with AMD graphics card
Summary of issue: Game crashes whenever I right-click a duckling inside a coop. Expected Behavior: Right click should bring me to single animal menu (the one with rename, sell, change home, etc) Actual Behavior: It crashed Steps for Reproduction: Reloading the game several times and always crashes on this duckling. What Operating System are you using: Windows 10 Here is the error log: http://pastebin.com/2HxSQp7s
This isn't exactly a bug, but it should probably be prevented. http://i.imgur.com/Ri0l2Zp.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ucDURXu.jpg This is on the same save, on the Mining farm. Two bridges completely blocked. This would be a major pain in the ass if I'm just starting, being limited to only one bridge for a while.
