I still find band members to be geeks. All of them that I have met are.

I'm sure that at some point in time, someone who has played with the Australian Army Band will go to a Floridian Highschool

Wow, a reference I get. I will say this, percussion was the section that more catered to people who just wanted bang sticks on something and see what sound it made, not hardcore musicians. I also joined football, so that balanced it out.

Though, on the topic of bands, a lot if guys on the drumline were hot, though, they were technically separate from the actual band... I think I actually did a few of them...

Hey! We, the nerds, do nothing bad to others. Why so much hate?

Drum line was the group of dudes I looked up to early on in highschool. I had already quit band, but they were some of the chillest motherfuckers ever. I kind of stopped once most of them quit.

  16. Hey you're on the internet now. We nerds run this shit. Plus, you have a phd, and work in research; I hate to break it to you, but welcome to the nerd clubhouse now lady :rainbow:

Yeah, I'm one of you guys now, just on the inside though. Guys at the bar don't need to know I have a PhD, or play Pokemon...

Yeah, I guess that could do that for one's reputation. We used to have a running joke where we guessed how much cocaine the Line had on their drums at the time. We lost our shit when by coincidence they began a routine of lining their drums with baby powder to add a visual effect to the playing.

Yeah, you have nooo idea. Those potheads were nice. Especially back then, when I was in highschool and the school system didn't even give a damn.
