im not going to lie. from a strict design stand point the newer one has a much better design.

 

From a practical standpoint, her previous attire was hardly the optimal dress for combat; it was a large and restrictive robe. Besides, I hardly think showing a little leg and shoulders drives Karma into whoredom.

I don't mind characters who are a bit less classy and look a bit like you'd see them on a corner ((janna/sona.))

However, I do like characters who actually have a unique feel to them. Vi is reckless brawler who's part of the law. She's the Good Cop who doesn't play by the rules.
Sivir, is simply a greedy mercenary who dresses like she'd be on a corner. But she does execution missions where arousing an opponent into being less effective is a tactical strength to her outfit. Same deal with Akali's outfit why I don't mind it.

However, taking someone who's supposed to be a Glorious Leader of a country. Someone who is known to stay calm in the greatest faces of danger, and remain classy and elegant, and making her look like she belongs in a Strip Club or a Harem, is not a good visual remake. What kind of Proud Leader dresses like that?

Worst part is, they are taking away her fans. Those were the last thing she had from her parents were ornamental fans. Now, they are getting rid of the last thing she has of her parents. How... wait why?

I will not lie, if the new design was a new champion, I'd be happy. However, how is she supposed to represent a calm, elegant, high class leader? She is busy showing off as much skin. if you look at her outfit, you can tell the outfit is being held together by a few straps. In her splash out, she has every body part of place. She has a broken spine, breasts coming out of her Shoulders.

I will admit, if I was to compare the two as DIFFERENT people, I'd go with the New one. She has a more unique fun wild look. however, knowing the lore behind the character, this new model embarresses me.

And, wearing very thing Satin outfits is? Part of her character was that being Impractical, she still stood elegant and powerful. She was Yin and Yang. Every ability, was offensive and Defensive some how. Her character, had to cling to tradition and adapt for new generation. Now, they are doing 1 good thing, and giving us karma players a Practical skin to try to look somewhat similar to this old karma. I would gladly take it as a new skin for current karma.

She still looks elegant and powerful, though -- like she'd melt my face off with mystical green powers. The old design says to me aristocratic leader; a Princess Leia-esque diplomat that, while having a level of prowess, ultimately pales in the presence of seasoned warriors. Now, she looks like a woman entering into battle with a calm demeanor and the skills to take down scores single-handedly. Her outfit doesn't change her attitude. The clothes don't make the woman.
