sure

basically, you get a game, that game may or may not have steam cards, you play this game, you use up your card drops for that particular game, you'll randomly get cards for that game when you play it until there is no more card drops, you'll get half of number of cards in a set, you may or may not get duplicates of the same card, what the aim is to get the complete set, you can trade these cards for other cards with people, or you can buy them on the market, you can also sell your cards off the market, you can trade from cards from one game to another, if the other trader in question is accepting to these terms, once you get a complete set, you can craft the badge, when you craft this badge you get a profile background, a chat emoticon, and EXP towards your steam level, your steam level is shown on your profile, a higher level means more friend slots and every 10 levels you get a showcase, a showcase is something you put on your profile to show off a certain aspect, be in your screenshots, your favourite game, how many items you have, and which items to show off, etc. furthermore, if you have used up all the card drops for a certain game, you are now eligible to get a booster pack for that game, a booster pack contains 3 random cards from that game, you can sell this packaged booster pack on the market and usually make some extra money, or you can open the pack and try your luck, you get these packs randomly when someone in this world crafts the badge for that game, you do not have to be playing that game to get a booster pack, also, every 10 steam levels you get 10% more chance to get a booster pack, the higher your level, the more chances you have, the last aspect on this is foil cards, foil cards are rare variants of normal cards, foil cards are much more expensive and hard to get, but if you can craft the foil badge, you have bragging rights
